this is by far the best book I have ever read. It has helped me see the meaning of sorrow and grief and trials in a whole new light.One paragraph " It is a good thing for us to be taken down a notch or two. we sometimes rise so high, in our own estimation, that unless the Lord took some of our joy, we would be utterly destroyed by pride. Were it not for this thorn in the flesh we would be exalted beyond measure."

My husband passed away a while ago and this book was so comforting. Brings you closer to our Lord.

i ordered this book but recieved beside still waters words of comfort for the soul also by spurgeon and it is a daily read and absolutely lovely, even if i did get the wrong book it was the right one for me.
