Zoo Med 26061 Reptisun 10.0 T5-Ho Uvb 24W Fluorescent Lamp, 22"

This literally saved my juvenile bearded dragon, Tommy, who was showing early signs of MBD (e.g. dragging back feet, not eating, being lethargic, etc). I was using a coiled fluorescent UVB light that came with a 40 gallon All Living Things terrarium, and that was what caused Tommy to not receive enough UVB. I even think his left eye was damaged due to the faulty light.The Reptisun 10.0 worked almost right away. Tommy became active almost right away. After 4 days having the light, Tommy eats non-stop. He barely had 4 crickets a day, but now he devours like 20 crix a feeding session.

After doing lots of research, I decided to go with this type of bulb for my beardy. I'm new to reptiles but wanted to do everything I can to make sure mine lives a healthy life (just like I do for all my pets). However, once deciding to go with this bulb, I was dismayed to discover that I none of my local pet stores (small or large) had it in stock. My husband said ordering a bulb like this would be risky because of shipping, but I had to take a chance. The first bulb I ordered did indeed arrive damaged, it was packed inside a heavy paper tube and the package looked fine, but the bulb would flicker a few times and not stay on. Luckily the company agreed to a full refund.This bulb arrived much better packaged and YES!!! it works. It was exactly 1.50 more expensive then the other bulb, but obviously this company understands that these things need to be really well packed. Bubble wrap, paper cushioning and a good size box that all worked to protect the bulb. My bearded dragon is in a 4’x2’x2’ enclosure, and I’ve got two of these bulbs installed for his UV needs. Doing some random online research got me interested in the Arcadia bulbs (they claim to have more UV output and last a year instead of 6 months). Paid $48.00 (yes, almost $50.00!) for one Arcadia Desert D3+ 14% UVB T5 Bulb 22", and received it today. I replaced one of my Reptisun bulbs that I’ve been using since February with the Arcadia and took measurements using the (ridiculously expensive) UV meter I purchased a couple of months ago. For anyone who’s interested, as I was, the Arcadia bulb was not worth the additional cost. There was one 1 UV degree output less on the 6+ old month Reptisun than on the brand new Arcadia. Good to know I don’t need to spend more in the future to have good UV for my beardie.

My poor beardie wasn't pooping unless we soaked him. He was kind of lethargic, not eating well etc. I read that he might not be getting enough uvb . I did some research and got this because it was touted as the best uvb bulb on the market for beardies. As soon I installed this light he instantly perked up. He was eating and active like when we first got him. The very next day, he pooped! Highly recommend this light, I wish I had gotten it earlier! I'm just glad Godzilla is back to his old self.

This product is actually 22inches, though it states its 24inches. The bulb was fine as i wanted a 22inch but i had to contact amazon as the measurement size was changed on the tagline of this product after purchase to which they also confirmed it was a 22inch tube bulb. These bulbs can be used Inside and Outside the tank, it works better in the tank as it reflects a lot more UV to your dragons. It works best with the Carolina Fittings. This bulb is perfect, however i can't give 5* because of the trouble i had to go through contacting amazon to check the bulb size and because the seller never responded.. which was two weeks ago today that i enquired.

My bearded dragon's breeder highly recommended the T5-HO bulbs over the older T8s, and I don't see any reason not to use the T5 bulbs. Reptisun has an impeccable reputation for quality lighting, and I wouldn't trust any other brand for my beardie's UVB needs. He's been active and healthy since the day I got him, and I truly think the UVB from this bulb helped him settle in more quickly. And since my hood sits on top of the tank, having the higher output bulb gives me peace of mind that he's getting enough UVB.As a side note, I bought the 22" bulb, and it requires a 24" hood specifically labeled for T5-HO bulbs. The hood comes with a 5.0 bulb, but beardies need a 10.0 bulb.

I love these t5 10.0 Uvb bulbs along with the Arcadia 12% bulbs.I bought the fixtures from pangeareptile for a great price and these bulbs fit perfectly. These 2 brands are definitely essential to your Dragons health if that is what you use them for. Definitely happy with my purchase and the price as it was on sale 🎉

So the product itself is awesome. Pretty much one of (if not THE) best lamps for desert reptiles. you really cant go wrong with this one.My Only "issue" that i wanted to make everyone aware of is to be careful WHO is fulfilling the order through amazon. I ordered a bunch of stuff for a new setup, some fulfilled by amazon (which is always AMAZING), and some filled by a few different companies. EVERYTHING came in EXCEPT this bulb and 4 days after my order it was still not shipped...AND I PAID FOR EXPEDITING SHIPPING!!the seller was:Companion CaterersThis was after an email to the company asking why my product wasnt shipped with a response from them that said it would be shipped out the next day. Guess what... that didnt happen either. I canceled the order and went to another website and the bulb was here the next day (without paying anything for upgraded shipping)My advice to anyone wanting to buy this is wait until someone else is fulfilling the order (the day after i canceled mine, its now Petco fulfilling it)if it is Companion Caterers fulfilling it!

Replace my old one with this, no complaints from the bearded dragon. I guess product is ok 😂 all jokes aside, the bulb is really bright and our beadies loves it. Shipping was a bit long otherwise no complaints.

Works well, high output. Lasts about 6-8 months before I feel I need to replace it.I had an issue with the first one I purchased, Knowing the bulbs usually last a long time I contacted the seller and they took care of the situation very well. They had great customer service.

Bought for my Tortoise. Good so far. Will update this review if anything goes wrong.
