Pretty cool. Mine works well and looks nice. I have it on a table in the living room and the overhead fan lights are enough to make it turn. Interestingly, I tried lighting the globe from the side, and the globe would rotate in one direction for about a half turn, and then rotate in the other direction a half turn. With the overhead lighting, it rotates in one direction.

This is a great globe with the blue oceans making it an object of art. Placed in a book shelf area with overhead light which keeps it turning. Great conversational piece too.

I've had this for a few months now. I really wasn't sure I would think it was worth the money...it was an extravagant expense for such a small globe. After getting it and putting it in my office, I was mesmerized. This thing is awesome. I encourage you to look up on YouTube how these work...fascinating! The map and globe features are high quality. Keep in mind that it's not a super practical reference globe because it's always spinning and it always faces "up", but I did get this one because it shows the ocean currents and has shading to show topography. I bought a cheaper globe to have as a reference globe, this thing can just sit and look pretty all day and I'm 100% satisfied.

Overall, I like it and enjoy watching it spin. I've bought several as gifts and finally broke down and got one for myself. However... I'm rather disappointed with the map quality. If you look at the equator, the white print abruptly stops at many places right along the equator making it look like two mismatched prints... very obvious and looks cheap. I'm considering returning it and getting a different model.
