DMI Over the Door Posture Corrector and Cervical Neck Traction Device for Physical Therapy, FSA HSA Eligible Neck Stretcher, Back Stretcher, Neck Pain, Migraine Relief, Back Pain or Arthritis

I’ve used this device daily for years, to relieve neck and back pain. Replaced the full water bag with three 7.5 lb. weights (same total weight). Took a while to work up to this amount. I stretch 2 minutes at a time followed by 1 minute pulling down, to release tension. Total session time 30 minutes. Found this to be similar to being on a traction table. Physical Therapist told me I could do two sessions per day if needed. Neck harness wears out, but you can get another one from Amazon. Periodically replace the rope, after it wears out. Just wore out the metal hanger. A new device is coming today. At $21 it’s 10 bucks cheaper, than buying at the drug store.

To start, they do not even accept returns on this weird thing. The neck support is extremely hard to put on, and once you finally figure it out, it puts uncomfortable pressure on your jawline. It is not effective at all. The rope constantly gets stuck, the setup is frustrating, and it will damage your door by the way. The instructions are terrible and barely help. On top of that, the product looks ugly sitting in the corner of your house. To summarize, this is easily one of the worst things I have ever bought. Complete waste of money. 100% do not recommend.

I’ve been using this over-the-door neck traction device for about two weeks now to help relieve chronic neck tension and upper back tightness from sitting at a desk all day, and it has made a noticeable difference. The Good Stuff: Real Relief: The physical decompression is excellent. You can genuinely feel the space being created in your cervical spine, which has drastically reduced my daily tension headaches. Customizable Weight: I love the water bag design because it allows you to precisely graduate the traction weight. You can start light and add a bit more water as your neck adjusts to the stretch. Sturdy Pulley System: The metal bracket fits securely over a standard interior door without slipping or scratching the paint, and the ropes glide smoothly through the pulleys without catching. The chin strap/halter gets the job done, but the vinyl material is quite stiff out of the box and can press firmly against your jawline during a 15-minute session. I found that wrapping a small, soft microfiber cloth or washcloth around the chin section makes it significantly more comfortable to sit in. Also, filling and hanging the water bag can be a little clumsy the first few times until you find a good rhythm.

It really works. I would give it a higher rating if the directions on how the head piece works better. Found the directions on YouTube.

I am a computer programmer and I have a tendency to slouch. I actually mounted this from the ceiling above my computer with its 3, 27 inch monitors. It has improved my posture immensely and also allowed my neck to feel much better.

This device pulls the chin up and puts pressure on the jaw, exacerbating my next and head pain. My mistake was not reading the reviews before purchasing. My Physical Therapist recommended “the traction device that goes over the door from Amazon”, for at-home use, so I ordered this without researching it thoroughly. I did choose this product over another because the other was marked as “frequently returned”. This one isn’t marked as such because the item isn’t eligible for return! I agree with the other negative reviews on all points. The instructions are vague, but I did figure out how to set it up. The cord is flimsy, stretchable, and way too long for the instructions. The water container weight system is cumbersome and wasteful. Most disappointingly, the device does not apply traction at the correct angle to decompress the cervical vertebrae and it places pressure on the jaws. Even after a month of using traction at the PT office without any ill effects, ten minutes of use of this device with light weight, made the pain that I was trying to relieve worse. This devise is not suitable for all conditions. Another reviewer, mentioned similar difficulties. The seller’s policy of no-return means that unless I find someone else who would like to try this equipment, it must, unfortunately, go into the landfill, if recycling will not take the metal parts. Very disappointing. Not expensive, but perhaps the seller set the price low enough so that customers wouldn’t complain much when they discovered that it has many flaws and is not returnable. Sometimes you do get just what you pay for. Buyer Beware.

En realidad aun no se le da el uso pero todo llego en buen estado la paqueteria lo entrego en el día indicado en su página solo se retraso un día a lo que marcaba en amazon pero por el momento todo esta en orden yo si recomiendo al vendedor

Useless, difficult to assemble, not practical, need two persons to use

I received only half the product in a damaged carton inside a closed large envelope. The spreader, rope and the straps were missing. Unfortunately I cannot use it. The photo showed what I received

It’s overall a useful product if the bar that holds the harness doesn’t break after a few days. Ordered 3 of these and all 3 broke, while I didn’t really fill in the water bag to the max level.
