Solder seems fine; solder came unlabeled; online product info is unclear about if it's lead free
This solder seems fine, except that I am not sure that it is lead free. The actual spool of solder comes unlabeled. As of today, and also when I ordered this a few weeks ago, the Amazon description is a little contradictory (product name indicates 60% tin and 40% lead) and the actual solder comes unlabeled. Sometimes when things are described wrong, the description gets fixed later. So if it's a while since this review, and the product info is consistent, then hopefully it will have been updated to be accurate.I clicked and got this quickly, because the product name and product description both say "lead free". But the product name says "60/40". When the solder arrived, the packaging was just a small bubble envelope with the Amazon barcode and product name on it - just the sticky tag Amazon uses for its inventory system. Then inside is the spool of solder. It looks just like the product pic and is wire wrapped around a green spool. There isn't any label at all. Other solders I have gotten came with a label saying what they are made of or at least some kind of labeling. This has nothing. Then when I researched online about "60/40" and solder, I found lots of sites saying that that means 60% tin and 40% lead and I couldn't find any alternative meanings. It has me worried that the Amazon product name saying "lead free" but maybe they mean is it 60% lead free or maybe the name is just wrong. The Amazon product pics also have a pic showing the composition of the solder as "SN/AG/CU" which is tin-silver-copper. So, maybe the Amazon product name and description are inaccurate as far as "60/40" and this really is lead free and is a tin-silver-copper blend.I actually do think that it's a tin-silver-copper blend and the product name is innaccurate. But I don't like having to guess. And since the solder came completely unlabeled, I can't check against any label.I'm only casually learning how to solder. Just cutting wires and soldering them back together, and unsoldering circuit boards from broken electronics. So, I can't feel from using it whether a solder has lead versus is lead free. I see another review saying that this solders just like lead. Lead is supposed to be much easier to get good solders with, by the way.I think if you are looking for solder in general, this may be fine to use if the price is right. If you are looking for lead free solder, I suspect that this is lead free, but the packaging had no clues and the product info posted to Amazon is ambiguous. The four stars instead of 5 is pretty much just for the solder coming unlabeled and for the product name online being a little confusing. If it had been labeled tin-silver-copper, then I would probably go 5 stars.

Great for PCB work
I don't solder much, but this works great when I need it. As I don't solder much, I'm no pro, but I couldn't tell this was lead free. I use this for small electronics soldering. This flows smoothly, melts easily and is great for intricate PCB work.

Solders great
Solders pretty well! Wets easily, and does a good job connecting joints. Hard to tell it's lead free. I have no complaints with it. Definitely recommended!
