I order this product often. One of the jars had been tampered with. The safety tab was broken in the wrapping and the contents were spilling out. It is not eligible for a replacement oor refund, apparently,.

We had a dozen people over for a paella dinner, too many for a one pan, so we had to cook two batches. I made mine from scratch and my son made the second using the Maiz Sofrito mix. In a side by side comparison the paella made with the Maiz sofrito mix was liked better than mine using individual ingredients. If you’re going to make paella try Maiz Sofrito, less work better result.

This sofrito is sooo good!!! The flavor is incredible, I can't tell if it's an authentic Spanish flavor but for me it's really good. I made paella and other dishes, it's just amazing. I consider it expensive, it's not something I would buy in a regular basis but definitely when I cook my next paella!

This bottle of sofrito arrived today in a package containing 4 other items. The package & bubble wrap were all intact & the other 4 items were undamaged. This Matiz, sofrito, however, had leaked - apparently some time ago. The bottle lid is covered in green mold & the bottle itself along with the bubble wrap are coated with a thick, gooey black mold. It is clearly inedible, in fact, it’s a bit scary. I took a couple of photos. but could not get them to transfer onto this review.I tried to request a refund, but for some reason I couldn’t get that feature to work either, perhaps because it is a food item.I will gladly submit my photos if I can get some tech help.I have ordered this product before; it arrived in good shape & was delicious. This time, however, it is disgusting.Please send me a refund.

I had never made paella before and used this sauce. I usually go old school and made everything from scratch -- which if you have the time to get the peppers, onions, and tomatoes -- and slice everything up and skin the tomatoes is certainly acceptable -- but I really like using this sauce -- it was spiced well and tasted great. It also saved a fair amount of prep time and reduced cleanup activities too. This sauce has become the goto for me in the future -- it tastes really, really good .
