A Great Book
I recently finished reading Step by Step Dividend Investing: A Beginner's Guide to the Best Dividend Stocks and Income Investments (Step by Step Investing Book 2), by Joseph Hogue, as a step in becoming more proactive about my financial future. The book is set up in such a way that you do not have to be a financial expert in order to understand the explanations within. Mr. Hogue explains what a dividend investment is, and furthermore, why you should consider making them a part of your investment future. There is a comparison to the stock market and an explanation as to why dividend stocks are a good choice in the investment profiles of many people. You do not have to be an old person, or an economist in order to appreciate the lessons put forth by this book. The advice given inside can make a big difference in the long run for your future. I highly recommend giving this book a read. Five Stars.

Great Book That Lays Things out in Layman Terms.
I've just recently dipped my toes into the water when it comes to dividend investing, and Joseph Hogue of Let's Talk Money! is one of my go to guys when it comes to investing. The author is very knowledgeable on this topic and genuinely wants to help people reach their financial goals. This genuineness is exemplified in this book especially on the following topics:1. Different types of dividend stocks you should consider having in your portfolio.2. Dividend stocks & certain measurements you should be cautious of when investing.3. Determining your risk tolerance and creating your personal investment strategy. It's not the end-all-be-all of dividend investing books, but it's a great starting point and helps you build a strong foundation to build your knowledge.

A solid investing strategy for dividends
I didn’t have to be sold on the upside to investing in dividend stocks but the book does a decent job of showing how dividends have beaten the stock market game for decades. I have read all four of the step by step investing books and this one is fits well with the investing strategy built in each. Even experienced investors will get something out of the MLP and real estate investment trust (REIT) chapters of the book. One of the most interesting parts of the book is that the investing strategy starts with your financial goals and then shows how to pick groups of dividend stocks, not just how to pick individual stocks. It makes investing easier when you focus first on the larger groups through mutual funds or ETFs and then only have to add a few individual stocks.Chat Conversation End

Become financially independent
Great book on dividend stock investing to get passive income from buy shares of stock from a company or companies. When the company makes money they pay you out dividend checks and money that compound interests over time and grows into bigger checks. This is probably better than regular stock market investing that is unpredictable and may have a lot of risk.
