Q: Are these gloves similiar to Wells Lamont 7690 that are padded? And if so are they just as good or better?

Not sure about the comparison to Wells Lamont glove but it's a good glove. It is not padded but a great fitting well built glove.

Q: I work for a funeral home so im constantly on the road picking up loved ones and loading them in the refriegrators are these gloves a good fit?

No they tend to run true to size. There is some give to them so they fit snug. I had the same issue and I ending up getting 4 pair of these. GREAT FIT
