Simple, quiet, small, effective. Enough air to do the job - and no more.
When I was trying to find a small quiet fan, I felt silly reading dozens of reviews of dozens of fans. Now I feel even sillier writing one.... But this fan is worth the silliness. 1) This is small (2-3 fists (pinky down, thumb up) tall x 2-3 fists wide including the blades while running) - or just get a tape measure and look the dimensions. 2) quiet. The previous fan for wood drying (heat with wood) was a fixed blade (this fan has cloth blades that make it quieter) that I could hear from 30 feet away at night. This one I can't hear. 3) Moves enough air to dry firewood or cool electronics (2 actual usages to date - yes, I've bought two). I believe that most folks want more air to move past them than is necessary for effective cooling. This certainly won't make for a dramatic movie scene with your hair blowing in the wind - but you don't actually need that much airflow to cool - the air can slowly wash over you and collect heat, them move that heat away from you. 4) safe - the blades are cloth (I know it sounds crazy but trust me - it works). If your hands hit the blades (no blade cage as it isn't necessary), they don't hurt at all. My kids play with the fan the use to cool them down while practicing band. They prefer the sound and feel of the cloth blades flicking past their fingers over spending time practicing - yes it is a regular discussion point as to whether that counts as practice time (spoiler: it doesn't). 5) can't say how it would be for travel from 1st hand experience but I suspect it would be great if your purpose is cooling. If you are after white noise, then not so good. Gave it a speculative 4-star for travel. It would travel well as the cloth blades can't break when packed or stuffed into a bag. 6) on/off is behind the fan and it can be a little 'daunting' to reach over the fan to turn it off. It actually isn't daunting at all as the blades have not cage around them (not at all necessary - reduces bulk). The blades don't hurt at all if they hit you - they'll just startle you and make a 'flapping' sound. Once you play with for a band-practice minute or two, you'll adjust to the sound and think nothing of it if you happen to hit the blades.tldr; Well build product that works very well. Would be awesome for small desk fan in office or spot cooling (electronics) or drying (wood, drying rack, etc). If you want white noise or your hair to be blown back you'll be disappointed (and I suspect you should think about how much cfm you actually need or expect for a 2 1/2 fist x 2 1/2 fist fan).

Super quiet fan!
I purchased this fan for the sole reason of having a QUIET fan for the office I work in. I did a lot of searching, I bought several small fans at local stores that seemed quiet enough in the retail store, but once in the environment of my office I became aware of all the sound they would make. After reading numerous good reviews here, and a few token bad ones that mostly consisted of "fan broke, got refund but buyer beware anyway" I decided to give this a shot.PROS:- Super quiet on low setting. Several commented how they accidentally left it on because it was so quiet. I figured this was hyperbole. I was wrong. On the low setting, I seriously cannot hear it running in any ambient noise at all.- Moves a decent amount of air. This isn't designed as a room fan, so don't expect it to keep your living room feeling cool or moving a whole room of air, but on a desk within a few feet, it provides a nice breeze. Kick it up to the second setting, and there is some noise, but the breeze goes up nicely.- The body is an all-metal construction, giving it a very solid feel and weight.- The cloth blades are perfect for me, no risk of hurting myself and they still move air nicely.- Price. I've spent less on all-plastic housed fans, but they tend to die quickly and be noisy. It's hard to explain the quality of this product until you hold it in hand, but it just feels like a premium product. Other fans of similar feeling quality sell for much more in the stores I've been to.CONS- I wish there was a power setting on the wire or some method where I didn't have to reach behind it to turn it on and off. This is a pretty minor complaint.- The motor and housing was a touch bigger than I first expected, even after looking at the user-submitted images. It's still small, just larger than I figured.I am purposefully stretching to find any cons to this product. I've only owned it a few days, but I have left it on for hours now, with no signs of anything wrong with the motor or cloth blades. Based on the negative reviews here, it appears that the parent company is good at issuing refunds or replacements if you get a faulty product, but I can't say myself yet as I've had no issues.Bottom line, if you need a truly quiet fan for an office environment, this is an excellent choice for the money.

A good product
This fan checks all the boxes. It!s quiet, portable and is nicely designed. It has enough power to use at a desk. I use it on the low setting at my desk and only use the high setting after doing physical work. The blades are quite harmless, just flapping against the fingers. Two things set this fan apart. It is Listed by a third party safety agency, ETL, and bears the mark. This means it has passed safety requirements., and the factory is subject ongoing follow up visits to ensure continued compliance. This fan also has a fuse in the plug for an extra level of safety. Small motors like in this fan are generally very safe and reliable but if something goes wrong the fuse steps in and opens the circuit, reducing the risk of fire. There’s not much risk of shock because the fan body is plastic.I looked at dozens of fans and I’m glad I got this one. It does the job, is safe, and is attractively designed. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by the ETL Listing and fuse.Oh, and it’s also quiet and is rock steady, no doubt because of the fabric blades. If you’re looking for a desk fan you can stop here. The only shortcoming is the large rotary switch is on the backs, so if you are seated you’ll have to reach behind the fan and get flapped by the blades. I just swivel the fan sideways and operate the switch. No big deal.

Mejor de lo que esperaba
Muy potente y silencioso, gran opción para escritorio o buró en noches muy calurosas, el ruido es mínimo y como ventilador personal es realmente bueno. El material se ve de buena calidad y los acabados también.

Fan stopped working in the first 30 minutes
I had bought a zippi fan 3 years ago and it was excellent. This one looked quite different and was very noisy. It stopped working completely in the first 30 minutes. Came with US plug

Cute and quiet
I feel weird saying a fan is cute - but this one definitely is. It's also well built, heavier than you'd expect and a stiff enough folding mechanism that it doesn't move in use. It's quiet on low, too. When it's a couple of feet away it's little more than a low hum (it's actually a pleasant pitch). It even pushes more air than I expected.I also like that the dial is a large physical toggle. Makes it easy to use with any wifi plug, although I realize that I could just as easily reach around it and turn it off.And I admit the first thing I did when I took it out of the box was plug it in and stick my fingers in the blades. It doesn't hurt, just makes a childish farting noise that I enjoy way more than I should.

Doesn't work, can't return.
Bought 2, neither worked when they arrived. Tried to return, but refused to supply commercial invoice for international return, so stuck with two dead fans.

Well built & quiet.
This is a super-sturdy fan that runs very quietly. It pushes a gentile breeze up to three feet - just enough air flow to keep me comfortable at my desk. Don't expect it to cool you down from across the room. The fabric blades appear flimsy, but seem very effective in operation. You can touch them without fear of being hurt. The unit looks cool when spinning - it appears sleeker and more compact than traditional fans with safety cages.Would buy again.
