Installed on 2011 JK with 4.88's
Was an easy install, running nice and quiet with Revolution gear 4.88's and the Timpken install kit. Seems to be a quality part made in the USA. Only have around 500 miles on it at the moment, will update my review in the future after some proper wheeling trips and real miles.

Amazing traction for the money!!!
I just installed 4.56 gears in my xj and had to get a new carrier for that ratio. This locker seemed like the perfect option, and yes I am calling it a locker. It looked very high quality and had zero runout when I was setting up my gears. For the price these go for you get a new carrier that fits 3.73 and up gears and a locker that is completely undetectable on the road in 2 or 4 wheel drive from what I can tell. And it literally shocked me at how much traction it provides off road. The video I shared is of the first off road trip with the new gears and this locker. My rear end in the back is still just an open carrier so you can really see just how good this Spartan helical locker is when my jeep Gets in a bind. When I started spinning and not going forward, I just tapped the brakes and it locked the front axle up immediately and popped me up and over that rock. I was shocked at how good it worked and was a little bit more jerky with the throttle than I needed to be but the jeep got it done! I hope they make one of these for my chrysler 8.25 rear end and I will definitely buy it. Awesome product, I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

Installed in a 92 XJ and the unit works great showed up in great condition and a timely manner ! My XJ’s front axle is full time no Locking hubs and going down the road you can’t even tell it’s there but once you get it in 4wd it’s great have been able to go more places then I use to be able to with a open Diffrential! It’s quiet and quick to react when you need it! My friends are planning to buy one as well since how great mine did!! The durability of it has been great she held up to a week of full abuse in the dunes!

Best bang for your buck easy upgrade to your JK
When the jeep was open/open, you had to wait for the BLD to tranfer power. My next upgrade was a detroit locker in the front dana 30. 100% traction everywhere. But, qwirky steering, especially when trying to go fast. No problems in 2wd. So, the detroit popped and I needed a quick solution. I bought and installed the helical with new bearings. Wow! It grips hard! But no torque steer like the locker. Now, BLD plays a big role with the helical and the response is instant. Feels like a locker even with one wheel in the air. You know, just like tapping the brakes. Well, guess what the BLD does for you at the speed of light. FYI, my rear diff is open! Love to put a detroit back there! But, don't want to risk limp mode or driveabilty. So, I am saving for a selectable in the rear dana 44. Anyways, the helical in the front dana 30 is a major upgrade for roughly $350 plus install, which can be done with minimal tools. You will want someone who knows how to shim and get the right clearence. Take your jeep to the next level with this simple upgrade without spending a ton and no driveabilty issues in any weather!

All around a good posi
Works very well in loose sand and always locks in both wheels. I definitely don’t even know it’s in there on dry pavement but if you’re thinking you’re going to try and climb something, this is not what you want at all. Put a load on the heavy wheel and it will not turn it if the other doesn’t find traction. But in all honesty that’s probably better running a Dana 30 with 35’s

Very good product
I installed it in a Jeep Wrangler TJ. I adjusted the gear without any problems. I did a test drive without the rear shaft. My right wheel was standing on the concrete. I landed on the wet grass with my left wheel. I looked out of the car at the left wheel and pressed the gas pedal hard. The right wheel squealed, and the left wheel turned exactly the same. Not a bit more. This is an excellent differential and I recommend this purchase

love this LSD Locker
Installed with 4.88 in my 2009 TJ. HP 30 I am amassed how good it works. Works Great on pavement like open Diff. Off Road it starts to slip, and lock up both wheels. Very happy with how it works. Put Dura Trac Posi in Rear .This things unstoppable now. Will idle over anything. Stick shift.

Lo puse para mi Cherokee que uso para rutas de dificultad moderada pero en lugares donde solía batallar más cuando pierdes tracción en dos ruedas, te ayuda a seguir avanzando lo suficiente en la mayoría de los casos para volver a tener tracción, solamente aplico el freno para activarlo y hasta ahora me ha funcionado muy bien!

The product looks great and perhaps it will work great. First I had to barrel sand my new ring gear to make it fit on the locker. The machined edge where the ring gear mates onto was .005 oversized so the ring gear would not fit. The ring gear was to spec at exactly 4.5 inch. Second. When I did get the ring gear on and was tightening the bolts I noticed one of the allenhex bolts missing (see picture). Upon closer inspection the hole was drilled but not countersunk for the allenhex head nor was it treaded. We will see if it hold up with one missing bold. I would give it 5 stars but am disappointed with the quality control of Spartan locker. This will be the last product that I will buy from them. Yukon gear is better.

It wasn’t to to hard to install how ever you do need to order shims to properly instal and while your at it you may as well change bearings and seals the down fall of this item is it is a limited slip your wheels will lock but you need to punch the gas pedal hard for it to engage in snow or it will not engage and if you ever did 4wheel drive in snow you know that slow turning wheels a better then a spinning wheel so for that matter I do not like this product at all so don’t believe everything they say on the spartan video for the spartan lsd helical….. I paid 483$ and I’m not satisfied at all in this model not saying spartan is no good cause I reorder the spartan ld
