Great Budget Flash Drive
I'm using this in a generally unrecommended use case because it's probably temporary, but it's been rock solid! The speeds are great when connected to a USB 3 port, the casing is super small and light, and the cost was perfect. Plus it's Kingston which is generally known to be a reliable and quality brand for flash products. Sometimes it does feel hard to plug in to USB ports, but I think that's just because the port and PCB inside aren't totally solid against the shell which I don't think is a problem. I've been using this drive connected to the USB port on my HDHomeRun Flex Duo, a network TV tuner box, for the DVR functions and it's been great. I don't record a lot or watch a bunch of live TV, so it's not getting super slammed 24/7 with live caching and recordings, just about three or four shows a week and it's been solid.

Two years in, still the best I've used.
What to say.. I've used these drives for two years now. They write much faster than their similarly priced competitors but read even quicker. I've ran OSs off of them, multi-boot options, transferred large amounts of data, used one as an encrypted drive, and even run programs off of them. I'm only writing this review because I wanted to purchase more, and realized that they were so damn good, they need positive feedback. 10/10 option, I cannot in good conscience recommend any other portable USB drive option.

Small size, big capacity, good speeds.
Write speed lags significantly behind read speed, but it's still the fastest write speeds compared to anythng else in the price range, by far. The compact size and thin metal construction are an advantage or disadvantage, depending on your point of view. I keep it on my keyring with no issues.

decent write performance
I gave this a 4 star because it performed well relative to Samsung BAR Plus 128GB at $2.50 less. Its sequential read and write throughput is 216 and 35MB/s, respectively, compared with its advertised read and write throughput of 200 and 60 MB/s. So write is less than advertised but breaks my minimum of 34MB/sec or 2GB/min. However, if you have $2.50 more to spend, I recommend getting the Samsung BAR Plus 128GB instead. Samsung's sequential read and write performance are 370 and 67MB/s, respectively. The next step up in performance in SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB at twice the price. So for 2 years in a row, Samsung BAR Plus and SanDisk Extreme Pro remains the best performing USB flash drive in their price category or $20s and $40s.

Fast and super compact for use on a keychain
I got this to replace a PNY Turbo Attache that was failing and this drive is much nicer. It is way faster than that drive ever was and its super compact making it one of the best drives I could find for use on a keychain.

Good capacity at a good price
Great little USB 3.2 drive with plenty of capacity and speed for most all of my needs. Great price too. It seems like they could've included a cap to cover the drive when not in use though.

It's almost impossible to find real USB drives outside America. Amazon has the real deal.
I live in a developing country and all the major retail and department stores sell nothing but knockoff USB drives. There's a huge market here for counterfeit Kingston USB sticks. Every single one I've bought here was fake. So I had to come to Amazon to find the genuine article and I'm glad I did. It was works perfectly in my PC and PS4 and the label shows up as "Kingston DataTraveler" unlike the knockoff ones. I'm sticking to Amazon for these types of purchases from now on.

I was in desperate need of a USB and this Kingston usb delivers a lot. Gets me through a lot, especially since I do a lot of pc work, files managing and more. I work within the IT sector, Cyber Security so this being in my possession, it is a great help and gets me through a lot. From what I've seen the speed is the fastest among the usb's I've seen. Plus 128gb for just £9, amazing, nice and cheap and it's very much a value of money. It's small obviously so you can take it anywhere and do what you need to do. I have a usb c adapter so I can use that as well if the other slot is taken. Overall, great stuff. Great usb.

UPDATED REVIEW: It turns out that file transfers through the command line have vastly different results so I'm willing to give the product the benefit of the doubt seeing how at least we know for sure the device is capable of better performance. It's reading and copying from rsync command in linux at 200MB (megaBYTES) per second using exFAT file system instead of NTFS, which is a much better result than I was getting through benchmarking 1,000x 10MB samples. It's definitely a solid a flash drive and good value at that speed. I'm keeping my review below for reference in case other purchasers run into the same mistake as I did. I'm attaching an updated screenshot using a gaming console backup of 110 gigs for this real world test scenario. This is absolutely fine performance, no complaints what so ever. Again, my review was not at all related to the seller, but rather the manufacturer. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW ----------------- Performed 2 tests on this flash drive, freshly formatted to NTFS filesystem. Advertised reads 200MB/s Actual reads: less than 43 MB/s Advertised write speeds: 60 MB/s Actual write speeds: < 5 MB/s This is not a problem with the seller, this is Kingston's advertised and stated figures. There's always going to be a difference between theoretical speeds and actual speeds, that's not the reason I'm critical. The difference between advertised speeds and actual speeds is horrendous though. It's not even half... it's not even half of half. Try to imagine transferring 128 gigs at 5 megabytes per second - that's 25,600 seconds or 426 minutes or in other words OVER 7 HOURS!!! Kingston advertises this drive transfers at USB 3.2 gen 1 speeds, but in reality even USB 2.0 from over a decade ago could exceed that speed. I'm annoyed by misleading advertising and for that reason alone I would not recommend this drive to anyone. It's a lot of capacity for a cheap price, and the metal casing helps a lot with dissipating heat during heavy usage, and the speeds are in line with other cheap flash drives you'll find anywhere. I'm just constantly disappointed by these marketing schemes trying to find a drive that actually using better internal components hoping one day I'll find one that does what it says. SD cards can do it so I know it's possible, but flash drive manufacturers don't seem to have any pride or dignity what so ever. Even the cache size for short burst of large files which all flash drives has is absolutely miniscule even compared to other similarly priced USB drives from several other brands. While writing this review I'm reformatting the drive to exFat, it's now 19.7% complete with an hour and 11 minutes remaining... get a portable ssd instead if you want larger capacity and USB 3.2 because this ain't that. It's suitable for a boot disk or something, but might as well get a 16GB or 32GB instead of 128GB so you don't ever have to wait all day to format it. I can't think of a single use case for this 128gig drive at these speeds, the large capacity is almost entirely useless.
