I carry these in my electric vehicle to eliminate the trip hazard when charging in public. If the dovetail edges are chamfered a bit, they mate more easily (easy to do with a razor knife or dremel). Heavy enough to keep a wire down, and room enough for my heavy 10/4 cable, and strong enough for light vehicle traffic.

Videotaping events sometimes across large open areas, there is a need to cover the cables so people don't trip over them. Ipurchased two to begin with to see how they would perform and I am very pleased. I plan to buy a few more in the comingweeks. Another excellent feature is the bright orange. This makes them very visible ever after dark,I would definitely recommend this product. This price is reasonable too.Jim Furey

I'm not sure what a person could use to clean the mold release grease (silicon like substance) off of these covers that would not damage the rubber/plastic or whatever material composition these are made of. Dawn dish washing liquid and a scrub brush removed some of the grease, but I still don't want to touch them without having gloves on. What a shame, seems like a decent cover but such horrible attention to finishing detail.

We've had a set of these (5) that have been used all-day, every day, since 2006. We are a school and they've seen a lot of use. They've held up and are still just as strong as the day we bought them.

We have used one cover for the last 5 or so Decembers to cover an electric cord that runs across our sidewalk to a spruce we decorate with Christmas lights. We have now moved to a new house with wider sidewalks and were gratified to see the covers are both available and unchanged so we are ordering a second cover which will clip to the older one and thereby cover the entire walk.We accidently ran the snow blower across it several years ago and it emerged unscathed!

Works as advertised.

I used this outside to cover the Extension cord grime the garage to the Christmas lights. It worked better than I could have ever imagined.
