Thule ski boot bags and snowboard boot bags provide extra protection and an easier journey when you’re heading off to the slopes. The Thule RoundTrip Boot Backpack is designed to store and transport boots, a helmet, goggles, gloves, outerwear and all necessities for a day or skiing of snowboarding. The rear-loading compartment provides the perfect storage for ski boots. The back panel door flips down and doubles as a standing mat, giving you the freedom to conveniently change in and out boots anywhere - from a parking lot to the base of the mountain - while keeping your feet dry. The protective compartment stores goggles, sunglasses, a phone or any small fragile gear. Two way access into the Snowsports bag allows you to efficiently pack and locate gear on the go. Easily attach and carry skis or a snowboard directly onto the backpack with external lash webbing. You can also connect the ski boot backpack to any Thule RoundTrip Ski or Snowboard Bag or Roller to create a seamless all-in-one solution for mountain trips.

The crushproof lid is not crushproof
For the most part, its a spacious and well laid out ski boot backpack. Plenty of room for literally everything you could need at the mountain. Boot area is huge and will accommodate helmet or other wet items handily. Dry side storage is good size too, volume depends on how you stuff the boot side. Dry storage also accessible from top. Now for my gripe, the 'crushproof' compartment up top arrived dented in. I pushed it back out, but this lid is not a stiff piece of plastic as you would expect, and it won't keep its dome-like shape. Its either really thin plastic or cardboard, and is in no way, shape or form 'crushproof'. I can push it in with one finger. I would hesitate to put anything of value up there and expect it not to get damaged due to the flimsy construction of the lid. Kind of a shame, as its one of the main reasons I bought the bag. Im on the fence of whether I'll keep it or return it due to the flaw in construction of this lid. This bag is too pricey to have any type of flaw in my opinion.

Boot compartment makes sense!
Slender, upright-style allows you to walk through doorways with ease. Don’t be that person wearing the awkwardly wide bag who waltzes into the lodge and gets stuck in the doorway. I haul boots, helmet, gloves, pants, jacket, 2 pairs of goggles, sunglasses, yaktrax, and other miscellaneous accessories with plenty of room. I can also clip my skis on either side for long hikes back to the car. The only downside is that once the boots have been removed from the boot compartment, the structure collapses depending what you have stuffed into the top compartment. It becomes top heavy and does not prop upright nicely. It can be easily managed by unpacking from top to bottom to avoid this.

Room for all your skiing necessities
Pretty Decent Bag!This is a well thought out ski bag with pockets and room for all of your essentials. The two main compartments are the Boot Garage and the main gear pocket. The Boot Garage unzips to hold your ski boots. When unzipped, there is a convenient flap to put your bare feet on when changing out of your boots. The main gear pocket has just enough room for your helmet, gloves, head sock, ski pants and an extra layer or a light parka. If you bring a lot of additional bulky items to the slopes, it may be difficult to squeeze them in.There are many more features to this bag, including three more pockets. There is a rigid protective pocket on the top for goggles, glasses, and other small items. There are two other hidden pockets on either side of the large gear pocket that could hold hand warmers, spare gloves, or car keys.Another added feature is that there are multiple handles to pick it up and a side access flap for the main compartment. The only thing that I wrestle with on this bag is that it stands up nicely when fully loaded, but collapses on its side once I take the boots out. It can be a little annoying, but it is a small price to pay for an otherwise great bag.One thing I really liked about this bag is the price. There were other bags from outdoor stores with less features that were much more expensive.

Spacious bag, perfect for a day on the hill.
Very spacious and well organized. Perfect for carrying a complete set of race gear to the mountain. The compartmentalization of the bag keeps boots separate from the rest of the things you place into the bag. For my teenage son, we are able to get a pair of boots, ski socks, helmet, goggles, race suit, ski pants, and a ski jacket all into this one bag. And, he clips his skis to the clips on the side of the bag.Everything you need for race day in one great looking pack.I considered deducting one star simply for the price, but you won't find a better bag at any price point. A great investment.

Great boot backpack for travel.
I used extensively over the past season - this is a great boot bag (that is a backpack). Has space for 1 pair of boots, two helmets and two goggles, and other gear as well. Well made, carries comfortably. I have carried skis on it (I am 6'1" 190 lbs - I think it would be a bit unwieldy for a petite person when stuffed full and carrying two pairs of skis, but I can do it no problem). It complements the Thule double rolling ski bag. Note, many airlines consider a boot bag and ski bag one checkable item. Despite not looking like a regular boot bag, this was accepted by American as my boot bag without issue. Would purchase again. There is a larger version that is a duffle bag - I am not so sure that would be accepted as a boot bag for air travel, but if I were to only need a bag to ski locally, I would probably choose the duffle bag version.

Great for travel
Took a ski trip to Switzerland with train connections through the country. Wanted a backpack to fit boots, helmet, knee brace and other bulky items to reduce size of wheeled luggage. Thule RT is extremely well made and comfortable. Since the boots are side by side, was able to put the backpack in overhead bin on airplane even though it has lots of roo. It is roughly the same size as my international rolling carry on back, though slightly taller (but if you overpack it might be larger on width). Very happy with the purchase.

Solid bag, funny design quirk
Massive bag that fits my boots plus a good amount of gear in the upper compartment. The hard shell top is fairly protective, I would trust it for tossing the bag around a trunk but perhaps not for luggage handlers. One minor annoyance, the upper compartment is advertised as having lock-compatible zippers but there are two panels for accessing that area and the second has lock-incompatible zippers. So completely pointless!

Plenty of space for boots and helmet
As you would expect from Thule this is a well finished product. Liked the waterproof boot section which takes a pair of men's size 44 ski boots and a helmet in the top with space for goggles and glasses in the top lid where there is a bit of protection. Needs a bit of strap adjustment so that the ski boots do not sit in the small of your back and rub - try placing ski boots with toes facing outwards i.e. buckles together, as this helps to distribute the weight to your hips.

Practical ski bag
The backpack was bigger in reality than I had imagined based on measurements, which was a welcome surprise. Bought it in advance for cross-country ski season, so haven't tried it out yet, but the flap designed to be stepped on while changing boots in the snow, and the separate compartment for boots are exactly what I was hoping for. Plenty of space for everything I need for a day of skiing in the woods, all in one bag without making a mess.

Plenty of space, really well made.
Great piece of kit this for transporting your ski wear needs. Plenty big enough to carry a jacket and pants too. I have had two kids helmets, 1 adult helmet, ski boots, change of clothes for the kids, gloves, neck warmers and Google’s for all three of us in this bag at one time.

Loads of room for equipment!
Pretty decent bag. Used it when I went snowboarding this year and can get my boots, gloves, trousers, helmet and other small bits into it no problem. Only thing was it’s not very easy to get you boarding clipped onto it and it’s tends to move about.
