good sturdy plastic, pieces fit together well. this is a very fun and easy model to build and would recommend to anyone wanting to build a p-40

The kit itself appears to be well made and comes with multiple decal options. My only complaint is that it was listed as a 1:48 scale model kit when in fact it is a 1:72 scale kit.

They tried to make a nice kit back in 1999 but the instructions are hard to follow. This makes assembly difficult. The pilot seat is almost impossible to figure out. I wasted almost 30 mins on taking it back apart because it doesn't go where they show you to put it.This kit is 11 steps. None are illustrated well. The kit has great detail for a small and inexpensive model.I have been building model kits since the 70s. I have seen worse. Yes it looks good when your all done but it's a very fragile kit so take your time. The canopy is extremely hard to get attached, I started with the back, it's 3 pieces.If you have model building experience and really want a P40 kit in this size. Yeah it's an option but be ready for a lot of trimming and clamping.

Purchased for my grandson Military History class. Somewhat complicated

I ordered for a friend and it turned out to be smaller than we expected but he liked it! Arrived on time and in perfect condition.

I assembled the wings as instructed but when I got them to fit on the fuselage the dihedral angle was curved down.
