Awesome rig highly recommend it
First impressions are very good solid build and a very capable rig out of the box. I have a course in my back yard 1st attempt made it through no problem..First thing you will notice about the rig is the weight it's perfect for the size. I added a little extra weight in the front to help with grip on uphill long climbing. But no problem with any part. It definitely blows the RGT out of the water. This is a great sturdy well bulit 1/18 crawler details are incredible with a metal frame. Strong thick plastics used it has alloy oil filled shocks the tires are a bit hard but should soften over use. The rig's weight just feels right. Panda Hobby states the X1 has wheel weights installed stock and it seems like it wants to stick to the ground the center of gravity on the X1 is pretty low allowing lots of tilt. The servo is mounted on the axel but has enough clearance for as much flex as the suspension can allow very nice touch. I really like the fact that out of the box I can start to modify it with tools supplied. The shock towers have 6 available mounting locations it's set to middle height out of the box. The body posts are adjustable as well but in case you want to raise the body for any reason. The X supports molded into the part body posts make them solid. Body clips are bent in 2 spots making them a breeze install and remove, one cool thing is posts tops can be removed with 2 screws in my case I epoxied magnets instead to eliminate body clips (10 min mod). The X1 comes with 2 batterys batteries last about 15 to 20 min when the battery is dead the vehicle automatically applies the brakes it completely stopped rig going down a 45° ramp. each battery take about 35 min to recharge via USB charger. The body has a great appearance with its angry Jeep grill with working ch 3 controlled headlights and light bar also had auto brake and reverse lights that perfectly match the vehicles motion. Nice little details like the door handles, hood cowl, mirrors and wipers make just a bit cooler It comes with a spare tire to mount on as well as 2 additional sticker options for rear 3 windows and a small set of fun decals to put on the truck. From what I can tell it's ready to be modified and have accessories bolted on I can't wait to see what they come up with. The Tetra X1 definitely has more than enough power to climb anything in front of it. The remote has a 3 position speed control. In my opinion the low is set to low to climb even an easy hill it works great for easy flat Rocky courses. Medium is a great position for crawling it allows you to really get a feel for the power the rig does have without it being to overpowering when learning to use it, when you ease into the throttle you can hear the motor start to whine and smoothly move the truck but has enough power in this range to climb a decent grade Rock Hill without being underpowered. High (adult mode) is very fun especially if you want to try a speed run pop a wheelie or speed around those pesky slow pokes in my case my kids , while in high the to achieve a crawl takes some getting used to but once mastered you can power through even the toughest courses. but it can be touchy if you don't have a steady throttle finger so not recommend for kids haha. The X1 handled sand dunes no problem and absolutely loved wet sand. With ease it will climb a 45° ramp with plenty of power if you want to speed up it instead, If climbing going directly from the 45° ramp to flat top the truck did high center but adjusting the shock towers to raise the truck fixed this (5 min mod with tools supplied). Raising the truck also allowed it to completely drive over my garden hose no problem where it got stuck stock. From what no notice it didn't affect the center of gravity of the rig to much as it handles hills and slants just like stock. The steering is strong enough for the truck and is very responsive so no complaints there.Cons. No auto drag brake makes going down hills a challenge but with good throttle/brake control you can easily navigate any downhill course. The L-M-H on the remote is cool just wish it was a bit more powerful on low so it can be used.Overall it's a great rig and I really enjoy driving it.

You have to get one!
The family was just on vacation, and found ourselves in a little hobby store packed with RC's. The sales kid was super nice showing off the smaller rock crawlers to the kids, but was specifically showing me the Axial SCX24 which was just amazing fun in the store. Almost bought one. Came home and when looking on Amazon for one, reading a lot of reviews that said the Panda was a better value with better features- lots of reviews, lots of reading later, YouTube videos, and research. Bought the Panda, zero regrets. Here are the high points- again I never had the SCX24 so I am in no position to debate the two: 2-batteries included. Nice touch, and they are 700mah, not 500 like I have read other reviewers state they received. Have had zero issues with the included charger either, unlike I read in SCX24 reviews saying the charger breaks easily. Oil filled shocks- well I know on my larger RC trucks in the past, dampening was pretty important, so on this scale truck, that is pretty cool. The SCX24 does not have oil filled shocks. Weighted wheels- seems like a small thing, but from my perspective seems to make it more stable. Full light kit installed- headlights, light bar, tail- lights really cool... hit the gas, the brake lights turn off, hit the brakes or stop, they light up... and reverse, they turn off and white backup lights turn on, very cool, and the lights turn on and off from the remote. You can tell the quality on this from the moment you get the box, very well done. Quality of parts in this price range is amazing. I added a few of the included stickers, and after reading some reviews, increased the ride height with the included tools moving the shocks from the middle position to the lower, gave increase to the ride height (and I think looks way better). I have read reviews that have bagged on the ESC saying there is really no low gearing, and throttling the gas for crawling is hard- and I would somewhat agree after driving the SCX24 with the worm gear- but that is small. I bought this to blip around with the kids, not compete in anything. Make no mistake, this is no cheap built toy truck- the build is excellent, hobby quality, also amazing for this price. It looks absolutely freaking cool- and drives over most anything- we motor through the grass, up and down through the dirt, over most anything in the house. Upgraded the battery to a 7.4v 1100mah and literally it seems to run for hours. Kids enjoy so much I decided to get them the Power Wagon version that is actually cheaper and almost the same build as this minus the extra lights and the spare tire. Would not hesitate to purchase again.... so much fun it is silly- you will enjoy.

Nice Little Crawler
This is a nice little crawler with a lot of fancy features. The shocks work smoothly with a decent amount of travel. The throttle is easy to control. The tires have good grip, even on steep and bumpy terrain. The working lights are a nice touch, and they even take it a step further. The only strange thing about the lights is, the receiver has separate channels for the reverse lights and the brake lights, but both wires are crimped and combined into one plug. I plan on getting another JST connector and rectifying that. Aside from that, this is an awesome mini crawler that got the attention of many of the guys running the larger rigs.

Not good out of the box
The media could not be loaded. So this is getting two stars until a resolution can be made for the reverse issue. My vehicle will not reverse. I’ve resynced the controller and vehicle and still no function. The reverse lights work so I know the vehicle is responding.Out of the box it’s ready to go minus all the decals you put on yourself.Seems good quality with a metal type frame and good components body. The issues extend to the battery. Battery life is poor and after the third time charging now I get a fast flash from the charger. Battery is toast.
