Solid Gold Cranberry Supplement for Dogs for Urinary Tract Health - UTI + Bladder + Kidney Support for Dogs of All Life Stages w/Antioxidants (3.5 Ounce Powder, Cranberry Flavor)

With a 3 fur household (2 brother cats - 1 large dog), and a single parent... symptoms or illnesses, even injuries, are always a concern. One of my cats began to go outside the litter box after 5 years (and shared the box with his brother). He had done it once before about a year prior, but it was a one-time thing and I wasn't even sure which cat it was. This time around it was clear we had a problem on our hands. I had my Vet run more tests than he even felt necessary - I wanted to know the cause, and the change to the "vet food diet" wasn't only not a financial option, but there's no choice of flavor, texture or anything else, and who wants to eat the same thing every day? Very small and few crystals were found, so small that he didn't think it should have been causing the problem that it was (but it was). And he was licking a lot - as in "NON-STOP" so I knew that something was causing him either pain or discomfort, something wasn't right and he didn't have a UTI - no infection found. My old Vet prescribed a temporary steroid for him to minimally help with his discomfort, since my new Vet didn't (and his comfort was of huge importance to me)... and told me what to request be done for him (with the new Vet). All came back clear again, but those few very small crystals. I kind of raked the Vet over the coals for his lack of "what should we do and how do we keep him comfortable," while I was washing and ruining comforters every single day for a week or 2. Finally upon the 2nd urinalysis I requested, seeing that they had not decreased in size or left him, with me demanding something be done, the new Vet finally told me to find a cranberry powder (it's all about the PH as everyone's been talking about). My go to is Chewy.com for my pet needs, but they only sold the chewable and there was no way I was getting my cat to eat the chewable so I came to Amazon and this seller (who rushed it out to me while she had a bad cold - amazing seller) and within the past few weeks that he's been on it there's been a complete turn around. No more out of the box accidents, no more strong smelling urine and his behavior has become much more playful and snuggly again and it's only been a few weeks. It's absolutely working!! I'm amazed, and relieved! He's going back for another urinalysis this coming week, which will be near 4 weeks after using Solid Gold and I feel certain that the results will be much better (I'll update if they aren't). As for flavor, it's berry, which my cat doesn't seem to mind at all, though I do mix it in with his wet food extremely well, so it's likely just adding a little bit of a fruity flavor to the meaty or fish flavors he gets and he gobbles it all down. I'm excited to see the next urinalysis results (so is my wallet!!!! - though of course his health means most). Having come from a family who's had cats for decades, so far I'm convinced that everyone who has a cat should be using this supplement to not only ensure proper PH, but to ensure that no crystals build up. We've had quite a few over the years that suffered with discomfort and needed painful surgeries or caths. This product stops the cause, therefore it stops the symptoms, behavior and the suffering. I think every Vet should be selling this product or in the least strongly recommending it as an immediate first try if the PH is off, UTI is shown or crystals are about.

My Cavalier King Charles spaniel girl was very sick; actually peeing blood for a month before being told she might need surgery. I researched this and other products claiming to help with bladder infections, crystals, and stones. I ordered this one right away based on the brand alone; this is the same brand of dog food I give both of my Cavs (Sundancer is their favorite). It took about 2 weeks of daily disciplined scoops sprinkled over her dog food (which she stopped having interest in she was feeling so bad; she didn't want to eat or drink - probably due to the intense pain of urinating etc...). I had no problem remembering to give her the berry balance, but my kids sometimes forgot, so I'd give her a special bit just before bed time. Normally a picky eater, amazingly she LOVES the flavor and lapped it up happily. I saw an immediate difference, she still had to go 20 times per day, but she didn't appear to be in so much pain. We had her on antibiotics at the same time and she returned to normal within 2 weeks. Now I give her a small sprinkle in her daily dog food just to keep the issues away (as a preventative measure). Her sibling gets a scoop once a month and both have checked out fine at the Vet. Wow, a cure in a jar for less than $20.00 - awesome! This stuff does really help! Definitely take your pet in to see your Vet, don't self medicate, but tell your Vet about this stuff, it definitely worked for us. Update June 2014: It's been 7 months and I still give a sprinkle every morning to ensure the UTI doesn't come back, and It works! My dogs are both very healthy and happy, loved little CKCs. I love this product and will continue to buy it. I've spent tons of money in the past at a Vet before, while they experimented with the problem and solution. Cost wise and results wise, this little cure in a bottle saved us!

The last yr or two, my cat Smegal has been sporadically peeing on the floor. I always knew a urine test is recommended with inappropriate litterbox use, however I always thought it was something else - changing the type of litter, one of our other cats bullying Smegal, etc. Well finally the other month, I brought a urine sample to the vet and sure enough, his pH was too high and had crystals in his urine. They of course recommended the prescription diet foods; however, I bought all three flavors of the canned varieties and he hated all of them. He would not eat any of them beyond sampling a little the first day. So since I gave my cats one raw meal a day (from Woody's Pet Food Deli in Minneapolis), I decided to give him nothing but raw meals because I read that can cure/prevent this problem, however he still peed on the floor sporadically. I was going to purchase Methigel, but decided to try this first. I've been giving him the recommended amount twice a day for the last 3 weeks. He has not peed on the floor since starting the supplement. best of all, the vet called today with his urine text result from last night and his pH is back where it should be and no crystals!!! Great stuff!!!!! update 12.20.14. The container recommends cutting back on the amount after awhile. I thought that seemed weird, but thought they must know what they are talking about. So I started giving him the powder once a day instead of twice a day. after some time, on a holiday of course, he started licking his belly and growling, so took him to the ER vet and his pH was back to being super high and they thought his bladder was inflamed. so I went back to giving him 1/4 tsp twice a day (he's a 20 pound cat). So be wary of cutting back on the dose. Also, I was quite disappointed when I needed to re-order this, that the price went from $17 up to $25! needless to say, I bought it somewhere else for $19.

My mini longhaired dachshund had a bladder full of stones (formed from sturvite crystals) which required surgery. Of course I was told that she may get them again and to keep her on a perscription type of dog food which is absolutely made of the worst crap and has hardly any nutritional benefits. ANYWAY, I read online about this product and took a chance. In additon to a high protein diet (Natural Balance), distilled water only and Solid Gold Berry Balance, she has not developed any stones and in fact in December 2010 she had no signs of Struvites (the component of the stones). I am not saying this is the miracle cure but it has helped my little girl. Currently we are waiting for a test to re-check for the Sturvites. Ultra-sound yesterday clearly showed no signs of stones:) I know i was a stress mess when I found out about her bladder stones and did all the research I could in order to prevent this from happening again. Berry Balance kept coming up in the research so I am a fan!

I adopted a female dog 1 1/2 years ago. She came to me with Struvite Crystals. I was sure we could get rid of them with a proper diet, but after going through four different types of food and no change, I was at my wits end. I refuse to put her on the prescription diets that the vets sell as a complete and balanced diet, when the truth is, not only are the diets junk, but the manufacturers themselves admit that they are not meant as a long term diet due to their lack of protein. I had resorted to putting cooked rice and green beans on top of every serving of dog food, which was a pain and while it lowered the amount of crystals in her urine drastically, it didn't completely get rid of them. Then the owner of the pet supply store I purchase my dog food from suggested Berry Balance. I know Solid Gold makes good dog food, but they also make a lot of supplements that I feel are un-necessary, so I was skeptical of whether or not it would help, but decided to give it a shot. The first week she was on it, I only put it on her morning time food, not her evening food and I missed a few days at that. Exactly seven days after starting it, I took her to the vet for an unrelated issue and had them check her urine.....NO CRYSTALS. I couldn't believe it. I was having them check it so I could get a baseline to check against after a few months on the product. I couldn't believe. One year of battling this issue and it was taken care of with a tiny bit of Berry Balance over one weeks time. I know that I'll probably have to continue giving her Berry Balance for the rest of life to control the crystals, but it's a lot easier than making food to go with her dry food every day and it has nothing but whole, healthy ingrediants in it. I'm VERY pleased with this product.

I absolutely love berry balance from Solid Gold! My dog ended up getting bladder stones over a year ago, and we had to have surgery to remove the stones and the vet wanted me to keep my dog on the science diet food for the rest of her life so that she wouldn't get stones again (stones are formed when there is a build up of crystals in the bladder). The vet prescription food was expensive for a small bag, had absolutely no nutrients, and was basically filled with salt to keep my dog thirsty so she would constantly drink water and have to urinate so that crystals wouldn't be able to form in her bladder. This created an issue of my dog just sleeping or sitting there and urinating without knowing it. My vet said she had incontinence, not related to the surgery or food, but I didn't believe it. I did a lot of research and decided to put my dog on the best dog foods that are more natural (like wellness core) to take her off the crap vet food, and use the berry balance in the food to help with keeping her bladder clear of crystals so that stones won't form. I've had my dog on the wellness food with this berry balance and giving my dog better water (like distilled/filtered to limit minerals) and since her surgery a year and a half ago she has had no crystals at all each time I have taken her in for a urinalysis! This stuff works great and allows my dog to have a healthy diet and get the extra support for her bladder! I highly recommend this product, especially if your dog is prone to bladder stones or crystals!

Just received the item. The container is noticeably smaller, but it still states 3.5 oz on the front lable. I don't believe that. Weights & Measurements should get involved. Don’t know why, when I clicked on Review, it showing a review I wrote from many orders before, but this time, the container is totally different. Maybe the manufacturer changed the container. But when i re ordered it, I just went through my history of past orders and selected a previous order. The ingredients appear to be the same and the powder looks the same, just a different container. My dog has a very alkaline urine, which is susceptible to UTI and making stones. I researched and found this product to act as an acidic, to make her urine more acidic and it seems to be working. The only problem is that if I don’t shoot with a water hose, right where she pees, the grass will turn yellow and die. This most recent container came with a small plastic scoop. They had stopped including the scoop, but now it’s back and there definitely isn’t as much powder in this container as in the past. It looks half way full instead of being 3/4 full like in the past. Maybe Weights & Measurements should check this company out.

This product is fantastic. It has saved me so much money. I cannot afford the dog food. The vet wanted to give me my 11-year-old an Italian Shepherd that weighs 155 pounds had a UTI and her pH was high. They wanted to give me a high dollar Dog Food I cannot afford. I found this product and I am so thankful two weeks later May 12, 2025 my dogs pH is normal. I have enclosed a photo of the test strips. Thank you for giving us something that we can afford

I got this as I read about it stopping crystals in dogs. I have been giving it for the past 2 weeks and I can’t comment on the controlling of crystals but it has cleared my Bichons tear stains. Very impressed… I have not found anything else to help with his tear stains.

This is amazing stuff! My Chinese Crested Dog (powder puff), had recurring UTI's - so on a whim, I decided to try this product to see if it made a difference, rather than putting her on antibiotics again. Not only did it clear up her UTI, it also got rid of the tear stains she developes every time she gets one. I'm going to try it on my English Bulldog next to see if it helps with her tear stains at all.
