Amazon Basics Motor Engine Oil 10W-40 TypXS, 4L

Use this on my 1991 BMW k75 motorcycle. She loves the stuff. Keeps the motor turning and send to last well. And at the price frequent 3000 mile oil and filter changes don't break the bank.

I was expecting more from this oil, based on the reviews I saw on Amazon. Unfortunately, the oil started to become dark after a couple of kilometres while driving in the city.I would buy from another brand when reasonable offers are available.

Great value oil, nice quality

Having researched the oil I needed for my car, I found this to be suitable for a Rover 25 all year round. The container is heavy and requires two hands to pour it, one on the bottom and one on the handle. Fortunately the handle creates an almost 90 degree hold so I can get a good grip further back without my hand sliding towards the spout. There is a window strip down the handle side of the container showing how much oil is left, which is really useful so that I can tell when I need to buy more, however the litreage numbers are the same colour as the plastic container and are just raised bumps of plastic, making them hard to read.It would have been helpful to have a few instructions on the container as to how to use e.g. mentioning the use of a funnel would have saved me from getting oil over the rest of the engine and then having to get one out of my kitchen cupboard. Opening the top wasn't exactly easy and I ended up grazing skin on my fingers along with having trouble breaking the seal all the way around. There's a long shelf life though of 5 years from production and this one was June 2020, so recently made.

When I give my car for MOT taste, I always tell my mechanic to service my vehicle. When he service my car, he uses his engine oil and this time I bring this AmazonBasic Engin oil.My mechanic told me that he likes the almost 90-degree handle shape, which gave him a good grip while pouring the oil. The lid is very secure and has a firm seal on top too.I like the window strip to see the oil inside and indicates how much oil left in the container, a handy feature.After getting done service of my car with this oil, I have noticed that the engine went smooth and less noisy.Overall, It seems its a good quality oil; I like the fact that its made in Germany and I will update my review if there is any issue with the oil until my next service.
