The literature claims it absorbs 10 times it's weight in water. I can't tell the difference between the material when it has absorbed 10 times its weight in tap water and the material when it has absorbed 20 times its weight. I wouldn't be surprised if it won't still form a pliable gel with water at 40:1.Our application was to create pliable masses (hunch backs for example). Slack filling a heavy walled balloon with enough water to fill out the costumery and then adding a bit of Sodium Polyacrylate to stop sloshing works quite nicely in the short term (2-4 weeks). The partially filled balloon protects the garment but still conforms nicely to the wearer, .

You can use it for a magic trick, or to clean up a spill. Very absorbent. 1table spoon adsorms about half a coffee mug of water

No instructions sent and arrived in an unmarked bag. Added water and it clumped into something like rubber. Can’t return so out all the money!!!

It did not absorb as good As I thought it would and for the price it wasn't enough

I have been using diaper polymer from amazon for a few years, its supposed to absorb fast, in seconds. This product, is not that. I purchased it and tried it out, it absorbs very slowly, what normally takes 5 seconds took 3 minutes. I'm sure that is fine for some application but didn't work for mine.

This doesn't turn into the instant snow that it advertises. Justbone large clump. My son was extremely disappointed. Will not purchase again.
