Now can use common antennas on a Baofeng HT
Not too much I can say other than it does just what I bought it for.The little antenna connector on the Baofeng HT's isn't as compatible with the rest of the world as a common BNC so this adapter, which I leave permanently attached to the HT, does the conversion which also allows you a better selection of antennas. When I use the HT with an external antenna, getting the HT connected or disconnected from the coax only requires a quick 1/4 turn twist instead of having to spin the talkie several times, and possibly risking crossthreading the HT threads or bending the little center pin. I found that using a piece of black rubber tubing about 1/4 inch long and inserting the adapter through that when you screw it into the talkie gives it a little more finished look and will probably serve to make it a little more water resistant.

Not for Baofeng UV-5R
I bought these to use with my Baofeng UV-5R radios as an adapter for a mag mount antenna with a BNC connector. They appear to be well built and they attached to my radio and antenna without issue. However, I soon discovered that I could barely receive any signals with these, even strong signals. I was able to verify that it was indeed these adapters that were the problem (and not the radios or antenna).I'm not sure what the problem was, but they basically seemed to attenuate the signal so much that I had to turn the squelch all the way down and then I could hear a faint signal with a lot of static, even though with a different adapter the radio and antenna could easily pick up the clear signal just fine. Occasionally if I'd move the radio around or wiggle the feed line just right I would get a brief second or two of clear signal, but it was too random and sporadic to be able to effectively use these. So I would not recommend these for use with Baofeng radios.

Works as Designed
Connected to my uv5r to connect a bnc antenna mount. Works as deigned. No issues.

Does exactly what it was designed to do.
Good value for money, use to adapt my radio with female SMA to female BNC for more antenna options.

Just a head up
A nice adapter however use care as they have a long threaded section that could bottom out in your device causing damage. I made a "donut" spacer to keep mine from being inserted too far.
