Hansgrohe 94282000 MTC Thermostat cartridge

Plastic, not brass as original installed (in 2009). I was skeptical on first inspection because it is shorter than the original brass part. But installed easily and works perfectly.

The shower was running cooler and cooler so I tried to strip the shower head but couldn't find any makers descriptions. After removing the centre allen key I found the code HG 94282. at which point I rang the local plumbers merchants who "don't stock Hansgrohe" - so on to Amazon who delivered the following day (Sunday). So a couple of learnings - I didn't need to switch off the water supply before removing the centre allen key - the HG 94282 fits a lot of shower units, including other brands - this unit needs a 24mm wrench - and my socket set fit over the top of the piece that protrudes - anti-clockwise to remove - mine had been there for 15 years so it was pretty tight - you will need to switch off the mains water and drain the tanks before switching ! had a lovely hot bath after replacing !

Spitzenqualität vom deutschen Hersteller und passgenau wie das Original. Wenn dieses Ersatzteil in der Armatur verbaut ist, funktioniert diese wieder wie am ersten Tag. Die Montageanleitung ist hervorragend gut (allerdings nur Bilder, kein Text), aber wer keine zwei linken Hände hat, kann sich an den Wechsel herantrauen. Regelverhalten ist einwandfrei, die Temperaturen stimmen wie eingestellt.
