I bought this for myself after my son was raving about his more expensive mouse. I love it. feels good in my hand and the weight is perfect. would but again when or if this one breaks down.

The Mad Cat mice are usually a great buy and generally are a great buy. The buttons work well and it is very accurate for aiming in games and for sketching in 3D graphics. The size is customizable and the design has been proclaimed by some friends to look like a transformer from the movies. I try to buy Mad Cats when I can afford them as they are my favourite mice and I've been using them for years for gaming and for 3D graphics.

I love the Mad Catz series like they are a really good brand i just dont like how the s3 atm is just completely plastic and i mean all plastic i can see if most of it was plastic and some metal parts such as a full metal frame or metal weights. To me the mouse just feels too light and flimsy i like to have some weight in my mouse as it just feels more responsive and durable.

My main issue with the product is a personal issue which is the mouse is small for my hand but, other than that it's pretty good. There's a press and hold button which lowers the mouse's DPI to 400 DPI (can be configured through a program you can find on the official Mad Catz website), that's pretty nice for FPS games. There's also a DPI cycle button and you can configure more ways to move between DPI settings through the aforementioned program as well as configure the other additional keys on the mouse. The mouse itself is mostly plastic and it squeaks sometimes depending on the angle you press on it with your fingers, personally I found it pretty uncomfortable to use so far but I'm still giving it a chance as it has nice functionalities. There are some adjustable parts on the mouse but newer models of Mad Catz just do it better. Also the thumb rest is uncomfortable to my taste personally. While the mouse has some nice features, I think there's better products in the market and if you have big hands like I do, I highly recommend skipping this product and looking for a bigger mouse. If you really want this kind of mouse I'd say consider Mad Catz 6 or 8 instead as they offer better quality and more adjustable.
