OS X Server 5.0 Essentials - Apple Pro Training Series: Using and Supporting OS X Server on El Capitan

This book does what Apple intends it to do, I guess. It explains everything server does from a strictly Apple training point of view. But I was disappointed that it's not loaded with advanced tips and tricks. For that, you will still have to use the Internet.

Although there really isn't competition to compare to, this is a solid readable workbook, covering everything that the typical OS X sys admin will need to know about OS X Server.

This is perfect test prep for the server part of the ACTC exam. Also very complete if you're just wanting to know all about Server

Apple just makes it So easy to set up you own at home web services.

The authors have serious technical writing skills. I’ve been inspired by such talented,  experimented and professional people. Intended Audience : technical coordinators, entry level system administrators, students (anyone who already have a little knowledge of macOS and want to go further.)I feel supported by Apple. The book is very well organised. Written in 2016. It is about an application from a very used operating system by Apple Inc. This is an IT manual. It is about being knowledgeable about an Apple product. It is a scientific and highly technical subject. It explains how OS X Server works. It is well-written. It’s easy to read. It is exactly 722 pages long. The authors make a complex subject easy to read and practice. It’s a colourful book (with highlights and screenshots). Thats good to my eyes and efficient because as the idiom say "A picture is worth a thousand words".This book is very well organised. All the exercises are planned to be done in a safe environment (test server).If you want to know more on a subject there is a lot of links to the Apple official support website (often it can be a pdf file with beautiful pictures).I would like to thank all the people who have worked at Peachpit Press for making this book possible. Apple's server documentation is getting better all the time, but there is a lot missing. This book not only fills the gaps in Apple's docs, it is a complete reference and training manual for Mac OS X Server 5. Well written and easy to use. This book can be used a a cover to cover training manual or as a PRN reference book. As an Apple Consultant, I find this book to be a valuable resource.One of the best smelling books available today for Apple products!

Good Mac book, but not great on using with other OS's. It needs to cover more real world scenarios, especially enterprise collaboration with Microsoft Server software which is more popular. This book could be so much better.

Il s'agit de connaître un produit Apple. C'est un sujet scientifique et hautement technique. Il explique comment fonctionne OS X Server. C'est bien écrit. C’est facile à lire. Il fait exactement 722 pages. Les auteurs rendent un sujet complexe facile à lire et à pratiquer. C’est un livre coloré (avec des faits saillants et des captures d’écran). C’est bon à mes yeux et efficace car comme dit l’idiome "Une image vaut mille mots". Ce livre est très bien organisé. Tous les exercices doivent être effectués dans un environnement sécurisé (serveur de test).Si vous souhaitez en savoir plus sur un sujet, il existe de nombreux liens vers le site Web d'assistance officiel d'Apple (il peut s'agir souvent d'un fichier pdf avec de belles images).Je voudrais remercier toutes les personnes qui ont travaillé chez Peachpit Press pour avoir rendu ce livre possible. Après avoir lu un livre, j'ai un sentiment de maîtrise. C’est bien parce que cela élargit mes connaissances. Je me sens soutenu. Je suis passionné par les produits Apple. Je recommande fortement ce livre! Ce livre améliorera votre esprit et peut-être votre vie. Ce livre regorge de solutions que vous pourriez rencontrer dans votre vie professionnelle. Cela complétera et améliorera vos compétences. Je considère ce livre comme une opportunité de grandir (si vous grandissez, vos clients grandiront eux aussi; c’est une situation gagnant-gagnant) et maîtriseront le sujet. Après avoir appris quelque chose, vous pouvez apprendre aux autres. Donc, je pense que vous pouvez évoluer professionnellement avec ce livre.
