Fantastic little router
It's a fantastic little thing. Powerful, easy to adjust, easy to use as a palm router, plunge base available. Why 4 stars? On/off button... Dewalt? Seriously? You could not find a smaller one? Because a smaller one would be no switch at all? Geez... It's the only negative thing about this machine. Its on/off button is soooooo tiny and covered in rubber to boot... Massive annoyance.Other than that it's a must have in any Dewalt batteries equipped workshop. Just don't get carried away - it's NOT a corded unit. And its convenience (coupled with its power) comes at a price - batteries don't last at all. Correction - they do last plenty long in "normal" use. I got so used to using it for "normal" things that when a big project came along I just grabbed it, made a little jig for it and started cutting a 3m long, 6mm deep, 20cm wide channel... In pretty horrible, wet and resinous pine. Times 12... with a 3/4" flat bit...It works. It cuts like a champ. Bottom is nice and smooth. Takes 11 passes back on forth and about 20-30 minutes but it works! But I'm going through ALL my batteries. Only one charger is a throttling point right now (never needed more than one before!)I'm finishing this lot but for next batch I've ordered a corded version of the same.Ignore my 4 stars - it's not the router's fault, it's Dewalt "designers'." And their choice of on/off switch which irritates the life outta me.If you need a router in your shop - get this one. Do not be put off by the "small" factor - it's got guts and ability to perform well in just about any task. And it's small, easy to use, adjust - everything is really well though out. Apart from that on/off switch which I might have mentioned before... ;o)
