Great product - slight caveat
4 stars only because it also depends on the structure, layout of your house and the placement of this product how well this works. Once the three pods connect to each it’s a fantastic experience! So smooth, love the speed, the fast connection. Excellent!

Prefect Coverage easy to install
I brought this device after I was struggling with various solutions to achieve full coverage in my villa. I even had the google Wi-Fi but hated it and returned it then brought this Orbi which is really amazing and so easy to install. It’s a bit pricy but no regrets at all thanks Netgear !

Awesome and solid wireless network
Very good home wifi network. Covered my three bedroom villa with very good speed and no dead spots. The wireless backhaul works effectively eliminating the need for wired connection between the units. One unit covered the ground floor (living, dining, kitchen and back yard), the other two covers the the first floor (three bedrooms and family living).Definitely recommended.

Great on paper, not so in testing
Orbi is one of the best reviewed mesh systems. I bought this after the Velop failed my home testing. Yet this failed harder than the Velop.Initial setup was a breeze and got it up and running in 20 minutes. However, the app is clunky and slow and they sort of force the BitDefender paid subscription onto you after buying a 1700 dirhams system. In range, it’s quite powerful yet sometimes drops speed and/or connection erratically. The deal-breaker for me is the fact that a single satellite is for 1000 and no way will I pay 5000 to cover my entire house when other solutions are half that.

Good product - does what it claims
I got the three-pack, and I'm using it in Access Point (AP) mode, so I can't comment on its abilities as a router. I'm also using wired backhaul (how the satellite units talk to the main one).Setup was OK, but the built-in setup wizard assumes you will be replacing your Internet router. I had to complete the wizard, entering any old rubbish for the router information, and then reconfigure into AP mode. The help explains this, and it is not difficult. It only took a matter of minutes.Once working, well, it just works. I got it because WiFi just does not go through the walls of my house: no matter where I put my previous AP, it only worked for one or two rooms at best. My three Orbis provide good signal strength everywhere.A pleasant surprise was the improvement in WiFi speed. I had not realised how much a poor signal causes the speed to drop. I am now limited only by the speed of my Internet connection.I was concerned how well roaming around the house would work in practice, but it works perfectly. Even watching a video stream swaps from one Orbi to another with no visible glitch no matter where I go.Overall: it does what it claims, and very well too. If only it were just a bit cheaper...

It’s not supported by the manufacturer
The router doesn’t update the firmware properly, and I couldn’t open a ticket because the support is expired even when I just bought it.

Better than Google WiFi
After weeks of issues with Google WiFi that happened shortly after an update that Google pushed and getting frustrated with having to reboot the network all the time, I decided to give Orbi a try having read some positive reviews and it did not disappoint. Setup was easy, allowing similar controls to Google WiFi - parental controls, guest network and connected devices. Found that due to the range the satellites have, I only needed 2 where before I was using 3 additional Google WiFi points. I also like that each satellite and the router have 4 ethernet ports. The devices are larger than Google WiFi points but in white they look aesthetically pleasing. I have had no connection issues since setting them up 4 weeks ago. Dare I say the connection seems to be more stable than Google WiFi - even while playing games on Stadia with other people streaming movies in high res at the same time. Having paid so much for 4 Google WiFi points just 2 years ago I was reluctant to drop another 2 bills on this but it has been well worth it, if only to stop the incessant nagging when the connection would drop on Google WiFi. If you're on the fence about it, pull the trigger, you will not regret it. Also I gave 5 stars for tech support - I haven't had to contact them.

Some how it's worse.
I have installed this device in our home for three months and as my rating and headline may clue you. It is worse than what I had before which is a Netgear AC 1200 repeater and a cheap Tp-Link repeater. I spent hours troubleshooting, changing configurations, updating firmware, and relocating the satellites closer to the main unit. I've even ran diagnostics on the health of the signals and everything in between. This one should work perfectly for my home layout and connection needs. It should deliver an order of magnitude more bandwidth than our home needs. I even specifically bought a tri band mesh system because I needed an only wireless solution. I'm not even sure how could an old under 100 riyals repeater provides more consistent connection from my main wi-fi modem. All in all, what a regrettable purchase this one turned out.
