I wholeheartedly agree with most of this book
Review of Intermittent Fasting For DummiesA great source of info if you want all your information on IF consolidated into one easy book. I learned about it online and from watching YT videos but still needed more information. She describes in detail 5 different Plans to choose from.I totally agree with the author who thinks it isn't a good idea to do keto with IF. She thinks the Mediterranean Diet is the best way to go. I agree after stumbling with IF in the beginning and eating too many foods that were bad for me.I've been following the Mediterranean diet MOST of the time. And I do 17 hours fasting, 7 hours with my eating window daily. I also pedal a Cubii (under desk cycle) 25-30 minutes a day. I've lost 29 lbs. in 7 weeks and I feel great.Other places told me I had to drink black coffee or tea and no flavorings in my water. I couldn't do that. Thankfully I decided to follow this author's advice and I have 1 Splenda in my coffee (no creamer) and just a touch of Mio (3 drops) in my 16 ounce water bottle.

Very informative
Up to now, I got all my fasting info from Dr. Jason Fung on YouTube and his books. I was concerned that YouTube was a scary place to get advice. Due to the great results of past "idiot guides", I tried this one. It is well written by a knowledgeable person and very useful for fasting. It bears out large portions of Dr. Fung's ideas and adds to them. Good luck, I have lost 60 pounds so far.

Best way to lose weight!
Not eating for a specific time frame and reaping benefits goes back to the beginning of all humanity in the plains of Africa. We've gotten so used to food whenever we want it, we don't realize how unhealthy that is plus how quickly we can overindulge.
