Love love but pieces are fragile.

This was a gift for my grandson and he loved it. It was a beautiful glass chess set and started playing right away I would buy it again

The media could not be loaded. The tips of some of the pieces really needed to be shaved down. The tips are very sharp. My frosted knight has a broken tip making it a weapon. A few other pieces have a sharp tip due to not being smoothed out. Other than that, I'm pleased & I have no problem saying that I would recommend this set for someone that is looking for this type of chess set.Note to Seller: it would be very nice if I could get those sharp pieces replaced.

UPDATE (1/19/21): After seeing the Gamie "100% satisfaction guarantee" on the insert that came with the chess piece I reached out to the company. I inquired what my options were to replace the missing piece, and the response from Gamie was quick and they addressed the issue. For that I'm changing my rating from 3 to 5 stars for the great customer service!Received this chess set on 1/9/21, opened up the very secure styrofoam packaging only to discover the brand new chess set was missing a bishop... The way the set is placed in the styrofoam, I have a hard time understanding this blatant lack of quality control, knowing each piece has to be inserted in each slot by hand, before applying the final styrofoam layer cover on top– I think I'd be less bothered by this if they left a tiny "I.O.U" in the vacant bishop spot.Having read some of the reviews prior to purchase I did see a few other instances of this happening to other customers, but thought the odds of this happening to my set were slim. Little did I know!Quality: For the price, it's hard to find a glass set like this one at this price level, considering most glass sets start at the $75-$100 and up range. The details are minute, with the exception of some of the accents it's far from a cheap looking set!Overall- I'd easily give this set a 5/5 if all the pieces were included. This was intended for a first time chess player, so having to teach a beginner using a substitute wine cork in place of the bishop was a little disappointing, before turning slightly comical.

I think my picture says more. If that’s not enough, then you get what you pay for but I think I got more than what I paid for. It adds such a unique touch to room decor as well as a smile to anyone, let alone a chess player! Simply beautiful. Personally I set it up on top of a classic and it looked rather elegant!

Disappointed that two pieces arrived chipped. Set needs a better case to keep it safe.

Most chess sets I want are around $150 I wanted this as a stop gap set until we get the $$$$ one we want. It’s chic and elevated looking. For me I’m happy the board is thin and comes with padded feet, but if you don’t want a thin board this may not be for you.All the pieces and board arrived undamaged and we are beyond thrilled with this. (For reference we got the 12” board)
