Absolutely worth the money.
I was skeptical of paying $40 for a pair of insoles, but some of the back pain and feet pain that I was having was alleviated by buying these. True to size and comfortable, I am going to be buying these for all my shoes moving forward because of how comfortable they are.

Disappointing
I had high hopes for this low-profile arch support. I expected it to be a full-shoe version of the Pedag Holiday 3/4 insoles that I’ve had for years. Unfortunately, it was thicker at the heel, making my foot slip in and out of the shoe no matter how tightly it was laced, and it slid up into the shoe throughout the day, bunching up under my toes. Not remotely comfortable. I’m trying it out in some boots that have removable insoles, placing it under the existing one, but I won’t be recommending or buying this again.

Good for my very high arches…
Good for my very high arches. What sets these inserts apart from others is the leather. I believe they will have better durability than others made of foam and fabric. I use them in my workbook. They are comfort from the start but get better with time again because of the leather. Thumbs up, try em’ you’ll like em’…

Great low volume orthotic for flat feet, but I had to modify them to suit my needs...
I had been wearing Superfeet Black orthotics for the past 10 years, and they worked very well. Recently, my left outer ankle started hurting, and I realized it was caused by the rigid arch support of the Superfeet. I decided to try a flexible orthotic instead. I shopped around for a flexible orthotic that would be full length, offer some support for flat feet, yet still be thin enough to fit in my shoes without removable innersoles. I tried the Superfeet FLEXthin, but the arch was a little too high for me, and the whole orthotic was a little thick. The Pedag Viva Low is the only other option that I found.I found the extra padding used in the Viva Low in the metatarsal area, and the heel to be rather uncomfortable for my feet, so I pulled the orthotic apart, and removed these two pads. However, this still left the metatarsal area uncomfortable, as I could feel the carbon fiber support under the ball of my foot. I remedied the situation by shortening the front area of the carbon fiber support by 3/4", beveling the edge with a knife, and then filling in the indentation that is left where the carbon fiber was with a piece of rubber, cut from the bottom of a Dr. Scholl's AIR-PILLO Insole. The end result is a very wearable orthotic, that fits my feet well, and is comfortable.Since I know of no other product that comes ready made with the characteristics I am seeking, I will continue to buy and modify additional pairs of Viva Low, as I need additional pairs of orthotics.Perhaps Pedag might consider at some point producing a version of the Viva Low, minus the metatarsal and heel pads, and with a slightly shorter carbon fiber arch support. I would be ready to buy a whole bunch of them...

Six Stars
These are true to size. I have medium arches and most shoes for sale seem to have no arch support anymore. I have shoes ranging from $80-$400 and 90% of them regardless of construction quality offer very little in the way of arch support. These insoles are fantastic. If you have high arches I don't know that they'll be supportive enough and if you have low arches you may find them uncomfortable but if you are somewhere in between those two you can't go wrong with these. They are worth every penny. The heel cushioning is a plus but the two best things about them are how rigid the plastic is and how thin they are in the forefoot. The plastic does such a good giving support to the transverse and longitudinal arches and the thin forefoot means that even if your shoe or boot doesn't have a particularly high toe box you can still use these without feeling like your shoes or boots are too small or tight. The leather also feel great. It is more slippery than fabric though so that may come down to personal preference. Personally, I like a leather footbed. Lastly, I would not plan on just buying one pair and moving them from shoe to shoe. I tested them out in 4 or five different pairs of shoes to see how they felt in each (and they were awesome in all) but they are so rigid that they are somewhat difficult to get and out of the shoes and boots and I think this would lead to a premature separation of the leather footbed from the plastic support beneath it. I may just get a single pair to rotate through dress shoes since I don't wear them on a regular basis but I definitely wouldn't want to have to try to switch these between different pairs of shoes on a daily basis. If buying four or five of them seems a bit over the top see if your insurance will allow you to purchase them with your health savings account. I definitely plan on purchasing several more pairs.

Too slippery...but please read my edited review
The leather, although an attractive concept, is too slippery. My foot slid so much in my well fitting shoe that I felt unsteady on my feet at times. Additionally, if you have flat feet this arch is too high. Which is surprising since this insert is recommended for flat feet. Back to my New Balance inserts.12/15/17 Edit: I have changed my review from one star to four. After I returned these inserts I ended up at my first podiatrist visit and with a pair of custom orthotics. Whoa! Talk about a too high arch! But this extreme arch was something I merely needed to get used to and I did, following my doctor's advice to wear them for two hours the first day then four hours the next day and so forth. After understanding what I truly needed to address my flat feet issues, I began to look for a less costly insert that I could easily slip into shoes that could not accommodate my custom orthotic...that requires a laced shoe with a very wide opening...and back to this insert I came. Now I have four of these and two of their minis for sandals. They are slippery but I got used to that also. The leather will last longer and repel odors better than some other insert materials.

Comfortable for walking
I first bought a pair from a store in the continent during my vacation when it was almost impossible for me to walk any more. I'm still using this pair in my walking / activities shoes. I’m very happy with the result and the comfort they give me in my walking. The new pair is for my formal shoes so I want move them from pair to pair. You need to pay ATTENTION at the size in order to have the proper results. They must be, fit, your exact size same as you would do if you were going to buy a new pair of shoes.

These are not soft insoles
Too hard, not comfortable to wear at all.

Excellent comfort
They tick all my checkboxes: not thick yet very comfy, very breathable and decent support with good shock absorption for the heel. These are comfort insoles. I don't think they have enough support if you're looking for actual orthopedic insoles. If you just need comfy insoles for your everyday shoes, these are just perfect!
