love the tea, hate the can
The tea itself is fantastic. The fact that it's grown in the US is nothing short of amazing. Visiting their plantation and viewing their process and facilities is also amazing. The price, though, is not amazing. I can't imagine their fancy hinged metal can doesn't add something substantial to the overall price. I wish there was an option of just getting a paper bag with the tea in it because at the end of the day, the fancy can is just more garbage after the tea is gone. Let people pay more for the can who want the can, and let everyone else just get the tea.

Too subtle, mostly taste the black tea
I recently went on a trip to Ecuador where after a cold swim we'd be greeted with a cup of hot peach tea. It was my first time having peach tea and I loved it, since being home I've been searching for one just as good. When this tea arrived it smelled so good! It was exactly the smell i had been looking for. I was so excited I made the first cup immediately. That first sip was such a disappointment. This smells very strongly of fresh peach but the taste is very subtle and mostly hints of black tea. I dumped it and made a 2nd stronger cup... That tasted stronger of black tea and just as subtle of peach. After a week of being disappointed I gave it away. I am sure other people will enjoy the subtle taste but it was not appealing to me.

which I like. Just a hint
I have been purchasing this tea since visiting the Charleston Tea Plantation a few years ago. The ordering used to go directly through them. The tea that I am getting via Amazon is not the same quality. I can only guess that it is a freshness issue. Normally you can smell the peach when you open it. But it isn't an overpowering flavor, which I like. Just a hint. But it was a stretch to smell the peach in my Amazon orders (2 of them). Also the tea is normally a dark rich color. This looked dry and no rich color. I will still purchase this tea, but I called CTP and ordered directly. New shipment from them is fresh and as expected.

Nice peach flavor & glad that it's grown in USA with no pesticides
I put 1 Tbs. of this in 3/4 cup water & covered & nuked for 2 1/2 min. Let stand for 5 min. then add cold water. The peach flavor is very refreshing, I could smell that from my microwave. No bitterness whatsoever. So glad that this tea is grown in America without pesticides. If you google "imported tea and pesticides", you'll find reports done by CBC entitled "Strange Brew". Here's an excerpt: "Using an accredited lab, CBC used the testing method employed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to test pesticides. Half of the teas tested contained pesticide residues above the allowable limits in Canada. And eight of the 10 brands tested contained multiple chemicals, with one brand containing residues of 22 different pesticides. Another report: "Greenpeace investigators found: Even some of the most famous and expensive teas sold under popular brands -- like Wuyutai, Tenfu and Eight Horses -- contained pesticides that are banned in China or even worldwide. An article "What's in your green tea?" about a woman with breast cancer: "But six months later - during which time she had been eating her organic diet and drinking green tea-she was rocked by the results of another blood test: Her DDT levels had risen to 1.1 parts per billion ... she had the tea tested and discovered that it was, indeed, contaminated."Since I didn't see the organic label on this tea, I wrote to the company, and received this info. from Charleston Plantation, SC, where the tea was grown "We do not use any pesticides on our tea plants, the only reason we are not considered organic is because we use a nitrogen fertilizer on our plants. Please visit our website at charlestonteaplantation.com and I hope you will be able to visit us in the future to see how tea is made!"This peach-black-loose tea is the best I have tasted in my 40 yrs. of tea-drinking, thanks to its being fresh and locally grown in South Carolina with zero pesticides.

This black tea with peach flavor is SO GOOD!
Plantation Peach Tea is my absolute favorite tea ever! I like that it is loose tea, so that I can use the amount of tea I want when I want it stronger or lighter. It is South Carolina grown BLACK tea with peach flavoring, so it does have caffeine.I like it hot with honey in the winter, or combined with decaffeinated tea, I drink it unsweetened and make a whole gallon at a time in spring and summer. It's very refreshing, and has just the right amount of peach flavor. Not bitter at all. I literally drink this tea everyday, never get tired of it. One can of tea lasts me about a month, but it stays fresh in its tin can for a very long time if you don't drink it as often as I do.I can't say enough good things about this tea! It's wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!!!

Good Peach Flavor
I really like the flavor of this tea and like to always keep some on hand. I’m not wild about the fact that there are stems in the tea leaves, though, and that the tea leaves are chopped very fine. I’ve visited the Charleston Tea Plantation, though, and they have a specially adapted harvester that picks the tea leaves, so I think this is the best they can do. Hand-picking the tea leaves would result in a higher quality tea, but it’s probably cost-prohibitive. Still, this tin lasts a really long time and is a good value.

Delicate Peach Tea, not that Hearty
The peach aroma is subtle, even the peach is subtle tasting in this tea. It’s pretty light in color as I used the cold brew method. The amount in this container is not enough for me as I like to brew big batches of ice tea to have on hand as I drink a lot of iced tea. I’m currently experiencing with loose leaf tea and this got good ratings but it’s too spendy and not enough for how much I need. I gave it 5 stars because its an American product and its Organic. I would like to buy more but it’s too light of a tea and the peach aroma and flavor is too subtle for me to use for iced tea. As you can see in the photo, the cold brewed tea is honey colored and the taste is not that robust or strong like black tea. So my mission continues as I will be buying trying different organic brands.
