Very informative book on Greys
Our African Grey is 20 years old. He has been in the family the entire time. My daughter had him the first 15 years and my wife and I the last 5 years. He was happy with my daughter but their home became too small as her family grew. The Grey has always known us so the move to our much bigger home and room for him was easy and he is happy. NOW ABOUT THE BOOK. The book is very informative and gave me much insight to the breed, their personalities and why they act as they do. It is a MUST read for anyone considering buying one. These birds are extremely intelligent and require good homes and care as a normal pet would. The book outlines this and may scare some people off but for good reason. We spend a lot of interaction time with our Grey during the day simply talking and responding to him from his cage. Np parakeet here for sure. Highly recommend this book for all.

Great beginner book
I just got my African Grey 7 weeks ago. She is 5 yrs old and the previous owner just left her in her cage in a room because he had 2 macaws. I read this book and learned a lot of new things. The bonding that Pebbles & I have is amazing. I have spoiled her and giving her the best life now. So if you are a new African Grey owner this is a must read.

Simple & easy read
Very basic book of elementary information without much depth or detail I could’ve found easily with an internet search. Took a few hours to read cover to cover.

Not informational at all
This book was a big mistake. Shouldn't have even been written. I was expecting a book that went into detail about diet/training/how to bond etc and maybe some dos and don't but instead this book just stated common sense things about each subject and didn't go into any details. Not to mention misguided and incredibly wrong information. For example saying to use dowel perches which is a big no for them, then didn't even go into detail about what type of perches like manzanita or Java wood etc that should be used. And then blamed feather plucking on not having feathers clipped??!I learned more on Google then this book. Save your money and don't buy this trash. Anyone who learned something from this book shouldn't own a bird anyways

Fast , Informative Read
Quick read with easy to understand information. Nearly every question I had , I could easily find in this book! I wish it went into diet more, but otherwise perfect!
