i have elac unifi ub5 speakers and the Yamaha R-N803 - i was using some generic, i believe, 14 AWG- just fairly cheap speaker wires without any shielding - unless you count the outer insulation as shielding - anyway i had purchased monoprice banana plugs but was too lazy to install them but i also wanted to upgrade my cables a bit and i had pretty good experience with mediabridge - i have purchased long lengths of Cat5 network cables and also a 25 foot long subwoofer cable. i received the 2 cables from amazon in good time - but one of the speaker cable box's seal was breached but the contents did look unused and brand new. the other box seal was intact. part of the fun in receiving deliveries is the unboxing - someone robbed me of that experience! well at least i was able to open the remaining box. the cable is well constructed - stiff enough but not so stiff that it would not bend. it is flexible enough for some tight application. i went with a pre-constructed with soldered terminators for a solid piece of speaker cable and not going with monoprice banana plugs and speaker wire because they are "loose" pieces - i actually did install the monoprice banana plugs to my AVR set up - nothing wrong with it they appear to work - but i wanted a solid piece of cable and shielding. the installation of the mediabridge speaker cables went smoothly as expected. the banana plugs fit well and snuggly in the Yamaha and elacs - felt like a perfect fit and contact to deliver the power and sound. Speaking of sound - it sounds great - does it sound better? not sure but it made me feel like it sounded better - i may do an A/B test one day if i weren't so lazy! no regrets with the purchase but it's only been a couple of days. thanks for reading. 10/21/19 - still working well. I've been fond of Mediabridge cables for years now, as they offer good quality and performance for the price paid. The build construction is solid and comparable to more expensive brands. Picture quality and sound have always been excellent. I ordered this 12AWG cable for a new KEF Q250C center channel speaker and was replacing some 14AWG bare wire speaker cable that I had been using with the Monitor Audio center channel. It's taken me a long time to fully convert to banana plugs, but they make things so much easier. That aside, I'm thrilled with the purchase of this cable. It couldn't be much easier to connect the banana plugs to the speaker and amp terminals, unless some handy-dandy voice assistant automated the process for me. The flexibility of the cable is enough to adjust placement and the connection, but sturdy to the point where breakage or shielding are not a concern at all. The banana plugs secure nicely and the overall simplicity of the color scheme of the Mediabridge cables look nice behind the speaker (not that I'll be looking at it very often). If this cable had a different company's brand stamped on it (e.g. AudioQuest, Chord, QED), the price would easily quadruple, yet the clarity and detail would remain the same. I highly recommend purchasing this.

I used these extremely well made cable to connect a pair of Warfdale speakers to my integrated amp. The solid feel and obvious craftmanship have it over the RCA cable that are like noodles and provide less than satisfying sound. The banana tips make it so easy to make the connection, especially as I like to swap speakers to get different musical presentation. If you want a first class engineered speaker cable, this is the one. One last thing, you have the option of buying different lengths to meet most any use.

Bought these when I decided to bi-amp my speakers. The banana plugs fit snugly and the wires have a quality feel to them. My system sounds great, but I have no basis for comparison because I got everything at nearly the same time. They work, and have a good weight to them and I have no complaints. If I neeeded more I would buy these again.

I don't write many reviews, but I needed to give credit where it is due I ordered the Mediabridge speaker, optical and coaxial cables to replace the basic Crutchfield cables that I've been using for the past 2 years on my Technics GU-G700 amplifier, Technics SL-G700 CD player and Klipsch Forte IV speakers. I *thought* that cables didn't matter and believed their so-called virtues to be nothing more than snake oil. However, I was sadly mistaken. I can CLEARLY hear an audio difference. It's like a viel has been lifted from the music, and I have to tell you, I *thought* everything sounded awesome and couldn't possibly be improved before using these cables. Boy, was I wrong! I'm not sure if it's the more secure connections, the thicker gauge wire (12 vs 14) or the fact that the optical cable actually CLICKS into the connection slot, but I am absolutley thrilled. Oh, the cables are high quality too! ...makes me wonder how those really expensive cables sound now, but I feel that there may be a point of diminishing returns somewhere along the way. Anyhow, I hope this review helps anyone that's on the fence about buying these!

Heavy duty nice cable lossless.

Antes de comprarlos tenía unos kabedirect calibre 14 con bananas que instalé. Decidí cambiarlos por estos por los buenos comentarios y debo decir que se nota la mejora en los medios más nítidos y graves más apretados. A la par compré está misma marca para míi subwoofer Klipsch y el cambio también fue muy notorio con graves más claros y precisos.

Excelente calidad en los materiales, me ha dado buenos resultados
