CULER SOLO Single Port Flash-Evaporative Air Cooler

Somewhat noisy, larger than expected, didn’t cool just made the air more humid. Would not recommend this product. Disappointed

When the SOLO arrived I could not wait to plug it in so I could turn my air conditioner down. My first impressions were that it was much taller and more powerful than I expected. Like any other air cooler or fan it is a tad loud which is only bad if you need complete silence to sleep. It is more of a white noise and it doesn’t bother my family at all. My husband actually appreciates the noise especially when he works midnight's because it drowns out the kids.Since the SOLO is designed for both indoor and outdoor use you can now beat the heat wherever you go. Camping? Not a problem. Long car ride? Don’t forget to pack your SOLO. I absolutely love this feature. It is great for keeping us cool when we sit on the porch during these hot summer days/nights. We also use it every night in the bedroom. It not only moistens the dry air but it cools the room making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. We also sometimes use the SOLO in the living room during the day so that the air conditioner does not have to work as hard. And it lasts for about 10+ hours on one gallon of water!!As the instructions state, be sure to keep the front of the unit 3 feet away from anything because it does mist a little. Although, I have not noticed any leaking or moisture collecting underneath the unit after use, I still place it on a towel.

This cooler was very well made and easy to use. However, I found the cooling only effective when I sat very close to it. It was pretty noisy when the fan was on high. In the end I decided to purchase an air conditioner and have been very pleased with the result. This might be useful for a small office space.

This is not an evaporative cooler and should not be listed as such. It is a glorified misting system. You must be sitting directly in front of it to feel anything and then all it does is spit water at you. On the plus side, the seller was extremely expedient with a return label and I would buy from them again.

Does a pretty good job of cooling a brightly lite room with plenty of glass. I live in the Palm Springs Ca. area (where the current temperature is 119 degrees!) and this unit works quite well fighting the heat. Only complaint is it's quite noisy, especially in the high power setting. Quite satisfied.

This cooler releases a fine mist; warning, if you live in a high humidity area it will not "flash-evaporate" and will make furniture or floor damp and its cooling capability is not as effective. VirVentures company charges 15% restocking fee if you return it and will give you a big hassle if you open the box and try the product, they decide if you get a refund after examining the contents. I spend $70 and nothing show for it.

The automizer that makes the air "COOL" did not work on either of these products. I also found that the company did not have a website and I called & left 2 messages on the phone # listed on warranty page & internet. It's been 2 weeks and still no one has returned my call. I am disabled, so filling and emptying these, let alone doing it twice, was a real pain. Taking them to the UPS store was difficult because of their bulkiness. I even talked to tech support to make sure I was doing EVERYTHING correctly. I WAS! They had UPS pick them up. What a bummer.

So far the air cooler has worked better than expected. Very simple to use and was working out of the box in a few minutes. It does a good job of cooling a decent size room quite quickly (living room) and is easy to carry and move around as needed. The only things I wish it had was that it was a bit less noisy when operating and that it had an auto shutoff timer or a remote control feature. But for the price you pay and the cooling effect it is definitely worth it.
