This is one of those products that you fit and forget.
This is one of those products that you fit and forget. Perfect. Mine has been sitting inside a dry box, in a field, in all weathers for 2+ years, just doing its thing. Snow and Rain and Shine.

Works perfectly for Openreach ONT
I have an Openreach Fibre ONT (modem) where the ducting comes into my property downstairs, however all of my network and server gear is in the upstairs cupboard including my battery backup. This PoE splitter means that, with an appropriate PoE injector upstairs on the WAN port of my router, I can run the ONT off my battery backup upstairs, so in the event of a power cut I continue to be connected to the exchange. The barrel jack and the voltage/power output are absolutely perfect for the Openreach ONT and work flawlessly, plus this frees up a socket downstairs!

Actually gigabit, unlike some
Unlike others you should watch out for, this one actually does 1Gbps and powers my Openreach ONT nicely.

Works great, build quality not great
For a POE splitter this one is a great choice. I’ve metered the output and is really stable at 12.93v no load and 12.2v on load. Throughput is reliable and consistent as well. The only thing that lets this down is the build quality. It’s good, but could be better.

Perfect for the job
I have a POE swtich for my CCTV and home network, but my modem ("home hub") is in another part of the house. I wanted to power the modem using PoE so it was covered by my UPS and this device worked a treat. It's also reportedly 1 Gig, (unlike some other 100M devices) which makes it more future proof if I ever get faster internet. Now if the power goes off all my network stays operational including the internet. I'm using it with a Unifi PoE 24 port gen 2 switch and had no issues.

Perfect for added IR illuminator
Brilliant. I had a POE camera at a long distance from the house with poor night viability. Therefore I wanted to add an IR illuminator to support in this area. Sadly to do this I'd have to run a separate 12v cable from the house which I didn't fancy doing given its location. Instead this device allowed me to tap power off the POE Ethernet and add a 12v splitter in order to power both the camera and illuminator. With 2A capacity this works a charm. All concealed in an IP55 junction box, jobs a good'un!

2.1mm barrel fits Adtran (YouFibre) 622v Modem
Got this alongside a Unifi POE injector to allow me to use POE rather than mains to power my Adtran 622v ONT provided with my YouFibre FTTP. I tried both the 2.5mm barrel connector and 2.1mm barrel and found the 2.1mm fitted perfectly (good service on Amazon’s part accepting the return on the unneeded one). All set up and working. (Full model number of the ONT is SDX622v XGSPON)

broke down after 1 week, second one after 5 weeks bad quality
At first it worked, but after one week the first one was u/s. Returned it to amazon and they swapped it for another one. That one broke down after just 5 weeks. It is not good quality, and i wonder where are all the good reviews are coming from. It is useless and it did cost me a lot of work, since it was build in a junction box high above the ground.
