Eskimo Quantum Auger Series, 8-10 Inch

this auger was worth the money. i've owned a Jiffy in the past and was always hard to start this Eskimo 10 inch starts easy and cuts strong. i have owned it since 2019, and cut several hundred holes on average 12" deep and no complaints here. I only wish it was lighter to carry. I would purchase again if needed too.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas...I read the reviews and frankly was a little worried because I know diddly about augers and motors and the like...until I read from the guy who wrote in his review something to the effect that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this model, it runs great, IF one knows how to operate this type of motor! And it DOES work great! You can't beat the price, it's a good little workhorse, in fact this is the first time my husband's ever complained about the fishing being TOO GOOD because he only used the auger to drill five holes, and was disappointed because he couldn't drill about 20 more! He had absolutely no trouble with starting it, or with operation, he says it ran great! Shipping was great, I ordered it way to close to Christmas but the webpage said if ordered that day would arrive by Christmas and it did! Very quick! AND free shipping from this seller? Woooow! Thanks soooo much for helping me pull off a Christmas my hubby'll never forget - beats the heck out of getting a TIE! I would recommend this seller and this auger to anyone who ice fishes or loves someone who does!

Filled up with Ethanol free fuel and cut away !! Quick easy starts, cutting over 2 feet of ice very quickly. Easy to handle. Delivery was very prompt. Great value.Four years later and I am still VERY pleased with the performance of this auger. Ethanol free fuel only and it always starts 1st or 2nd pull. EVEN first start of the season with the previous year's fuel. Used a lot during the Winter of 2019 because I moved to a waterfront property.Into 2021 now and this auger is still performing like it is new !! Ethanol free fuel has to be a major contributor to how easily and reliably the unit starts; first time, every time. Still has the original spark plug in use.

Love it. Had it for this years ice fishing trips. Made life so much easier and I don't have to hand crank anymore! Works great, pretty lightweight, easy to work.

Easy to start and cuts through ice like butter. Well worth the money.

I bought this auger just in time this year. We have had a colder winter than normal with much more ice. Virtually no assembly was required. just remove from box attach the auger to the engine and add the oil and gas mix. the price was great but I felt it should have come with a small container of oil. Also there was a short break-in period of about 30-40 holes. During this time its not uncommon to pull the cord 10-15 times to start. After it got broke in the engine almost always starts with one pull, even from a cold start.

it took a little longer to get here because of the carrier. finally got it from a different carrier and it works great

This sure does beat drilling holes by hand. It very easily cuts through ice like butter. It definitely does not seem very heavy. The primer bulb definitely helps. This thing started with one pull out of the box, and it runs great. I never have issues with it starting. I definitely recommend this auger

Did not have the chance to use this yet but product arrived quickly and looks great! Can't wait.

Got this next day shipped and was very excited to try it out the same day so I bought a gallon of 94 Octane gasoline and 1 quart of 2 stroke synthetic engine oil and mixed to a 50:1 ratio.My first start was a breeze, pressed the primer bulb 8 times, pulled the choke to full and after only two pull of the starter the engine started right up. Backed the choke off slowly and let the engine idle for 15 seconds and then gave it some throttle slowly. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not get any white smoke out of the exhaust but this could have been because of the type of gas and engine oil I used.Took it out on the ice a week ago and did a timer test. On 8" of Ice running at full throttle it took 7 seconds to cut through. This I think is pretty impressive for a 43cc engine and this works perfect for me, I don't need anything faster.The blades are sharp and I like the center point on the auger, it prevents the auger from sliding across the ice when drilling in tight quarters.It is very light weight too which is great as I walk out on the ice typically 1-3km to get to my favorite fishing hole.My only regret is I wish I had bought this auger last year when I had to drill through 22" of Ice manually, that was no fun at all.
