Great Monitor for Creatives
These monitors are awesome!I was looking to upgrade the two monitors I was currently using for video/photo editing and after doing a lot of research and even after returning two monitors, I finally settled on these HP 4K monitors. There are many great things about them ranging from the build quality to the image quality! The monitors have great colors and the blacks are pretty good for a IPS panel. Especially compared to others I tried in the same price range. The 4K is crispt and the matte finish on the screen doesn't dull the image at all! It does a great job of hiding reflections. One of the first things I noticed taking these out of the box is the build quality and ease of setup. The moment I picked it up I could tell HP actually put time and effort into making sure the design looks good, fuctions well, and is durable. I can't say the same about the Samsung, LG, and Acer monitors I tried previously which have all felt like they were made from really cheap plastic.Another amazing perk with these monitors is the plentiful ports on the back of each. You have your standard HDMI and Display Port but if you choose to use USB C you can both power the monitors with it directly AND use the USB ports on the back to connect stuff like your mouse, keyboard, and USB sticks.\In the end, if you are looking for professional yet affordable 4K monitors, these are some of the BEST ones you can get!

Perfect Home Dock for M1 MacBook
This monitor is exactly what I needed - gorgeous picture, excellent color, perfect USB C connectivity that charges my M1 MacBook Air.I ordered despite reviews claiming issues with Mac USB C support - works totally fine with mine. Three more USB A ports for plugging in webcam, Logitech receiver, thumb drive. No speakers but audio jack out to my own speaker. All is well. Living the dream of one cable to dock my Mac and use it as a desktop with a sweet big monitor.I’m grateful it works so well with my setup because it’s literally the only monitor with nice enough materials and design not to gross up my bedroom. The soft silver finish, simple elegant stand, and minimal bezels let’s it blend into my home, unlike the comparable plasticky office-only monstrosities from LG and Samsung. Would be happy with an Apple display but way too expensive. While I’m annoyed my more expensive LG just stopped detecting a signal without warning after just a few years, I’m happy to replace it with this HP. It looks a lot better, I like the ports and how they’re arranged, and the joystick menu control on the back right is easy and intuitive to use. The tiny white power LED can be turned off, another small must-have to live with in my home. This was a slam-dunk purchase for my needs, and the price is right. Oh! And zero styrofoam - all molded cardboard packaging very easy to deal with. Eco friendlier is a big plus.

USB-C no longer works
I too am experiencing an issue where the monitor fails to recognize a signal via a cable connected to the USB-C port on two different Macs. It was working fine for a few weeks, so I really don't know why the monitor just decided to stop wanting to connect. This is very disappointing as I bought the monitor refurbished, and I doubt that HP will do anything to help me. I'm about to look into the seller's warranty.Update: I got the monitor working again by unplugging and plugging it back in, which I still have to do from time to time. Also, there's a ton of false advertising here: USB-C only works with USB 3 if you choose a low refresh rate that is noticeably jittery just moving a cursor across the screen. There is no way I can see to put the monitor to sleep while maintaining sound playing or power to the hub to charge things. Given that I bought this specific USB-C capable monitor to be a color accurate one cable solution, that's a HUGE drawback.

Great features and price
I don't know if users will be aware of this, but some modern laptops are charged via USB-C and this monitor supports both charging and video transmission via a single USB-C cable (included) that goes from the laptop to the monitor. Laptops usually don't have too many USB ports, so this saves me another port by being a 2-for-1, video and charging. Plus, the monitor also can be used in portrait mode for a good tall view, useful for writing and reading articles giving you a nice big page view.

Great monitor, but "factory calibrated" it is not
I like this monitor now, but it took some work to get there. I love the stand which feels very premium, and the USB ports are really nice to have. The ergonomics and aesthetics are also really nice, and I'm very happy with it all.One big selling point of this monitor is that it comes "factory calibrated". My impression was that it would be plug-and-play to get extremely accurate and balanced colors with minimal to no fuss involved. That ended up not being the case. The monitor arrived with all "RGB Gain Adjust" values cranked up to the max for every preset. This resulted in extremely warm/yellowed and inaccurate color. I had to go in and heavily adjust all the values to get anything remotely close to natural colors, and it was a big headache to fiddle with all the independent color values and try to calibrate it myself. Since I did it 'by eye', I'm sure it still isn't perfect, so I'd recommend against this monitor for professional work unless you have a calibration tool handy.Ultimately, I'm happy with the monitor now. But the premium they charge for it being a "pre-calibrated monitor" feels like a scam, at least for what I received.
