The smoothing treatment tends to flatten my hair too much. To not dry my hair out further, I try to space out between shampoos but not particularly helpful for scalp health. Enter the co-wash! Chose one after carefully reading all the reviews. Was a bit doubtful that it would clean my scalp well but even with the first wash, I could feel the difference. Not only does it clean well, with only one application (rather than the two shampoos I have to use normally for my thick hair), it keeps my hair hydrated. Rather than using a hair mask (again, what I had to use normally for my dry hair after regular shampoo), I tried just a normal hair conditioner and that worked well. This coconut cowash does not create suds like a shampoo would. Generally, this can be done daily. **Q: Is this product for all types of people of ethnic backgrounds and hair types, I am Caucasian with fine dry somewhat frizzy hair is it worth a try?** A: I would try it, I've seen reviews on google from women of all backgrounds including Caucasian. Im Native American and Italian (honestly Italian too my g-parents were from Sicily) but as you could imagine my hair is QUITE thick, dense, curly and heavy. I can take a strand of hair and feel the boxy-ness and "lumps" of coarseness,of that single strand. It has helped more then anything Ive tried! And ive tried a LOT! Mother of Earth co wash, ACV, Amika, DevaCurl, to name a few. This has stood out above some pretty expensive products! It smells wonderful too and has helped my hair calm down. Lol- **Q: DOES THIS DRY YOUR HAIR** A: Yes it is very drying. It is nothing like Wen. Wen leaves my hair extremely greasy and flat with no body. It still feels dirty. It does not clean. Whereas this product cleans but it doesn't moisturize at all. My hair is porous and curly and fine. You would think that with being porous that it would soak in and moisturize it but no, it does not. I had to put a very immoliant leav,-in conditioner on, and it still was too dry. So then, I put BioSilk silk therapy leave-in replenishing treatment over the top of the leave-in conditioner. I sometimes do that combination anyway but it was still dryer than usual so I have to say this is very drying. Perhaps if you barely rinse it with cold water, maybe it would be moisturizing. I don't know for sure. But then you wouldn't be rinsing all the dirt out. So I cannot recommend this product. **Q: Any chance you'll offer this in a traditional bottle? It's kind of pain dipping my fingers in the container in the shower.** A: I use this product in the shower as well and know that water gets in the container.
