I LOVE THIS RECYCLING BUCKET!!
This bucket is easy to use and IS SURE TO BE USED (the most important factor!!) due to its ability to be hung just about anywhere that's convenient, thanks to its dual hanging system. I have mine hanging on a drawer adjacent to the most used section of the kitchen counter, so it doesn't take up any counter space (a guarded commodity in my home, due to lack of it). It's a perfect size (will hold all scraps and peelings from a large vegetable soup), has a good size handle that keeps your hands clean when emptying it, it cleans up exceptionally well (no odors absorbed or left behind), it's light weight, the lid controls odor very well (even from onions!), and, something the description doesn't mention, there is a handy removable insert that easily fits on the rim to hold a plastic bag liner in place, if you want to use one. I find this bin cleans up easily and doesn't absorb odors, so I don't use one (wasteful, anyway). I also love the color- a gorgeous green. I am very happy with this recycling bucket!!

As Promised
My needs: Daily emptying and cleaning. Hidden placement while maintaining ease of adding food waste. No damage to kitchen cabinets. Odorless. This is PERFECT! The Large size hangs inside sink cabinet door. I did not want anything on countertop. I easily move this bin with handle to garage in evenings for a morning walk to compost. Cleaning is fast and easy. There is a removable rim surround piece that can be lifted off to allow rinsing of tiny coffee grounds etc. This simple design for composting makes the cleanup no problem at all..! I replaced my stainless steel bin with lid that I had to use two hands when popping lid off. This unit takes one hand on the lid that actually hangs on the side while in use. So nice for keeping hands clean during food prep! To Summarize: Simple design that purely functions as it promises.

GREAT!
I really like this little bin for my kitchen compost. I bought the small one and thought it might be too small, but it's actually perfect. I like to empty it every 3-4 days anyway to prevent any smells, and that timing is just right with this size. It's not airtight, but the lid fits well and I haven't noticed any issues with smell. It was a good pricepoint for the quality, and it's so convenient! I love that it hooks onto the cabinet door, and that the lid hooks onto it. When I'm cooking I just slide the lid over, it hooks on easily, and I can just scrape veggies right into it from the cutting board. It doesn't look bad hanging on the cabinet, either. But my kitchen is still being remodeled, so I haven't completely decided where I'm going to keep it long-term. It's also easy to hook and unhook from the cabinet, so I can move it around the kitchen as needed. Another bonus is that it has a retention ring to hold bags in place. I bought compostable bags and the ring keeps them from slipping down, and my bin stays perfectly clean! It says dishwasher safe, but I haven't had to test that out yet.

Lid not attached/hinged
Everything about this is good, but I think I would prefer one with a hinged lid so you donโt have to use two hands one to open it and want to put the scraps in. Generally, when you are putting kitchen scraps in there, you have your hands full. But thatโs also probably personal preference.

Perfect for tiny kitchens
This all began because I wanted a compost container that I could also bang my espresso basket on without breaking the whole thing to pieces. And it had to fit in my tiny kitchen. Ceramic? Too fragile. Stainless? Not actually stainless and rusts like crazy. Filter-top lids? The filters aren't replaceable. Step-to-open lid? Huge waste of space. Plain bowl on the counter? Compost only goes out once a week and I don't have room in the freezer. Enter: This plain-as-mud but perfect-in-every-way sturdy plastic bin. It's just a plastic bin with a lid. But it's the perfect size. And the lid hooks onto the side so you don't have to find a spot for it during meal prep. There are no little handle crevices on the lid so there are no nooks and crannies to worry about when washing it. The bin itself has a little removable plastic rim that would effectively hold a compostable bag in place if I needed one. (PSA: Not all compost facilities will take compost bagsโplease check before bagging your scraps!) The carry handle rotates easily and folds down nice and low so it doesn't stick out. There's a really easy attachment system if you want to move it off the floor. Haven't tried the wall adhesive mount, but the hanging mount is SUPER easy to get the bin on and off of. I store the hanging mount inside my kitchen drawer, and then hang it off the front of the drawer and then slide the bucket onto it when I'm prepping. Makes it really easy to just toss scraps into. Lid has a nice snug fit into the bin, too. I usually leave the lid slightly ajar to let a little circulation through, but when I have to leave it on tight to keep a smell out for a day or two until the compost pickup comes, the lid works like a charm. I never thought I'd write a review about a plastic bucket, but this little bin ticks every single box I needed it to. And I can bang out my espresso basket on it!

Easy to use and clean as a compost bin
This compost bin is nice enough looking to be you the kitchen counter. It is a good size for the purpose of collecting banana peals and such. The color is elegant and coordinates well with our kitchen in the gently blue version.

So Convenient!
***UPDATE*** I still love this little trash can. Have had it 5 months and use it all the time. When I'm done with a cooking session, I just tie up the bag & it goes into the bigger trash can. No mess. While I'm working, I can move it around to a different location if I need to. You just have to keep in mind that it IS made of plastic, NOT steel, & IS breakable. Treat it as plastic & it will last. ___________________________________________ This was a good buy. If I had known earlier that there was such a thing, I would have bought one a long time ago. So convenient. I am really happy with it. I line it with a plastic grocery bag when I'm preparing food. I like the retention ring that clamps the bag in place, keeping it from sliding down. The lid fits snug. I usually throw all my potentially smelly things in there, like the empty bacon package. I sweep vegetable scraps, etc. right off the counter. Egg shells, etc. go in there too - all without having to drag the big trash container over. The bag is then tied & changed out. I don't leave it in there long enough for the fruit flies to find it. Also, some have said they thought they were getting two containers because the picture shows two. You are getting ONE. They are showing that there are two ways to use it: hang it from a kitchen drawer, or use the sticky-back tape to mount it to the wall. I prefer to hang it over the drawer, so can't comment on the sticky tape method. Some are also saying it's cheap, thin plastic & breaks easily. Yes, it's plastic, people. But It's not thin plastic. I think it's well made. You can't overload it & expect the plastic handle to bear the full weight. I think this product is being mis-reviewed by some. That said, I love mine!

Good Scrap Bin
The fruit & scrap bin is exactly what I expected. It holds enough for a couple days of scraps. The bin doesn't allow odors to escape so the lid is tight enough. Happy with the purchase. Not happy with Amazon since I was supposed to get No Rush rewards with this purchase.
