Currency The Finish Rich Workbook: Creating a Personalized Plan for a Richer Future

Beneficial - with a few caveats
I bought this because I wanted to see what a financial-planning 'workbook' would look like in practice. I am a financial-planner and am interested in interactive structures that help clients take control of their financial affairs.Overall, I would say that it is very thorough and the structure is undoubtedly a help for the extremely self-motivated individual who is determined to get their finances in order. The text is peppered with americanisms, some of which don't translate very immediately into a UK framework, but on the whole most of the book is quite relevant. As someone who deals with 'normal' investors on a daily basis, I would criticise the book for its length. It is a BIG exercise to complete the whole thing, and if one were to skip sections (eg. 'The FinishRich File Folder System') on the basis that life is too short to create thirteen labelled folders at the commencement of the process, I would then worry that I had missed something of strategic importance.I think that this book works for a rather select group of people who are extremely self-motivated in this area. For most 'normal' folk, I would guess that something that was conceptually more straightforward, and shorter, would be more helpful. Having said that, given the generally crapulent nature of the nation's finances, I do welcome the kind of approach that David Bach has taken here. He does deserve some kind of award!

Finish Rich Workbook
I have read the David Bach books and they are so great, easy to read and to understand, so I thought as I'm kind of trying to revamp my life at age 55, my pension is coming in, I need to know what to do with it, that I would try the workbook. I think it is great and I would recommend it to anyone at any age, in fact, the younger the better. I have always been poor, but I did knock myself out for this pension thirty years ago, and it is such an incredible opportunity for further investment at this time in my life. Having good investments is just essential. Maybe you have heard that before, but it cannot be overstated. Great companion book to a great series.

Love this series a and great workbook.
This is my second time buying this workbook. It is a great companion to the series and gets me into the “doing” part of finances instead of simply reading about it.

Perfect for those who need a simple, clear financial plan
If you already read financial books, this isn't for you (you'll already know everything in this book) But for the rest of us, this is perfect- a clear, easy and, most importantly, personalized plan for achieving financial goals and staying out of debt, achieving economic security and retiring comfortably. Bach's examples are inspiring and he has tips for controlling expenses - from waiting 48 hours before buying anything that costs $100.00 or more to showing how saving as little as 3.33 a day can add up to significant savings over time. His graphs and tables are very easy to follow and his worksheets are equally simple. Perfect for anyone wanting to save more, from students just out of college to families in a budget crunch.

Everyone needs to read this book
David Bach has proven once again that the ordinary person needs not be stuck at the bottom of the pile. Following his advice may not make everyone a millionaire, but they will be much better off than where they began. You will need to keep this book for reference after you read it, as you will make it a steady source of information for your path to better living.
