Review: Not very functional - The TextSpeak talking keyboard is a good idea but really doesn't work very well. Due to throat cancer I am unable to speak above a whisper, and even then it is difficult to understand me. I thought this would be a breakthrough but I was sadly mistaken. I am trying to be factual here: There are 2 voices available, male/female, both difficult to understand and with a foreign accent Familiarity with a keyboard is a must, the small keyboard really is useless (I type approx 30/wpm) you must wait in conversation to make sure the person listening understood so you don't have to retype your response bulk is a detriment but that was a given prior to purchase the keyboard could be designed more for the user instead of a qwerty layout, for instance special key designations for saved sentences and marked as such. there really is no way for someone to remember where the saved items are stored free iphone apps have voices that are much more easy to understand, smooth without sounding computer generated battery life is crap

The TextSpeak talking keyboard is a good idea but really doesn't work very well. Due to throat cancer I am unable to speak above a whisper, and even then it is difficult to understand me.
