Astro 7824 Bearing Race and Seal Driver Master Set

It works great and I've used many of the drivers on different cars. I'm glad that I finally got this set after too many years of sockets, pipes and so many various things to drive seals and bearings... Now this is the proper tool and decent quality for the price. I wouldn't recommend this for heavy hitting and probably should look for a better set for continued and extensive use, however if you're using mostly on an hydraulic press, you should be fine for a lonnnnnnnnnng period of time even with some beating...Comes in a sturdy plastic case.

Excellent Value!! I was very impressed with the quality of the tool for the price, I don't know how they can make them and sell them at this price and still make money. I would think these will last me a lifetime, of Chicago rose I am not using them every day and only work on my race cars but this is a handy tool to have after using sockets and anything else I could find large enough or small enough while being extremely careful not to damage a bearing race or seal. Take my advice and order this set, you won't be disappointed.

This is a useful set, and I will find many uses for it. But it does NOT work for the Dana 44 inner pinion race. Which is unfortunate, since that's why I bought the set. It does work for Dana 44 needle bearings in the spindle.

I've replaced a lot of bearings on old VWs and for some reason never thought to get a tool like this...until a few days ago. I bought this and marveled at how much easier it was to drive out and seat in new bearings and grease seals. Definitely worth the money...came in a nice plastic case, too. Nice kit!

worked great for me. i have only used them once though. i used it to press in a bearing race with my press (instead of the provided driver and hammer which would've worked). worked like a dream. i couldn't use it to press them out due to the housing having ridges on the other side but i will for sure get my money out of them and then some. the case is very nice also.

I bought this for a BMW differential rebuild and for the price and the money that I saved rebuilding it on my own, I have zero complaints. There is no way I could have done it without a bearing race and seal kit. I am not sure that I would put this in a pro mechanic's toolbox as I doubt it would last from repeated use, but for a once in a while weekend mechanic, it is an exceptional kit.

Purchased this which was intended for replacing a couple of seals on my truck (both axle seals and a pinion seal that was leaking.) Actually if you do search on Amazon there isn’t many sets like this for a decent price like this ($65.) There is a couple other sets that come with much more adapters but costs 3x the price as this one and you many never even use half of them so having this set was a nice addition to many of my tools as I have used this on a professional level. The set is good for bearing and both driving in seals as there is a double side which can be used.Few pros and cons:Pros:- High quality, won’t deform if you hammer on it with significant force- Comes with a variety of sizes- Case is small so can be easily stored and doesn’t take up a lot of room- When driving in seals, it is great because it drives it them completely flat so you do not need to get something else to drive it the rest of the way in- It does come with a screw to hold the adapter on the handle so it won’t fall off. Sometimes it is helpful and sometimes it’s not. Depends on the situation- I do not know if this is a Pro or Con but the handle is very light, it appears to be hollow inside so I do not know if it collapse in from hammering it.Cons:- Handle is slightly small, I have small hands so it works for me but I have loaned it to a friend and they said that the handle is small for their big hands. It’s possible and workable but just have to be careful when hammering so you do not hit your hand. In addition when working in a tight spot which is usually on the car replacing a seal then it can get challenging because there isn’t a lot of room and the handle is quite small in size- Even though I the set comes with many adapters there is always that one you run into where it doesn’t have the size which I have. Some just do not fit right but you have to make it right or flip it around and use the other sideOverall I have used the set many times and enjoy the set, good quality and price was decent. Wasn’t overly expensive and does the job. Astro Pneumatic also has a good warranty on their products as I have warrantied a few other things and there wasn’t any hassle or hesitation. I am enjoying the set and think it is a good purchase for a DIY to professional level and would recommend this product and if you’re doing a job at home I would consider this set because it doesn’t matter what set you purchase you may never find a 100% correct adapter but this has quite a few for many common vehicles today.

A lot less expensive than most big sockets you use because you dont have this kit..a must!! Works realy well. And there is a casing.
