Makes a very bad headache to me , I think it is full of chemicals or its not clean source of kelp. Update : I take it with the main meal so I don't have that bad headache.

My blood work said I was within normal limits but I was always tired. I researched iodine deficiencies and the symptoms fitted me perfectly. According to this website 85 % of people are iodine deficient unless you comsume a lot of fish and seafood or live in coastal areas. I wanted something natural (not the garbage added to iodized salt which I rarely use). I told my doctor but I think she is skeptical. Kept telling me there is iodine in lots of canned food, cereals,etc....which I don't consume. I have ordered this item several times and it works. My energy levels are higher, much less joint pain, etc I don't want to be without this product. If I go out for sushi, I skip taking a kelp capsule that day. It's a natural product too. Nature's Way have fabulous products.

This is a known brand I use in the U.S., and I know this is a decent Kelp. Isolated supplements aren't too good for you 'cause they offset the balance of other things... so I take Kelp instead of just Iodine. You can read about why we need Kelp (Iodine) on the web (mostly due to excess intake of Fluorine, Chlorine, and Bromine). Anyway, this is a good quality supplement - expensive of course, because there is always big markup on imported products :-\ Of course there is an ocean (fishy) smell. Yes all the Kelps have it (if you find one that doesn't, don't trust it!). Just close your nose before you open the bottle, start breathing with your mouth, and don't breathe your nose again until after you have swallowed the Kelp. Easy :)
