Handmade Brass Kaleidoscope with Leather Case – Vintage Look, Antique Finish, Nautical 3D Mirror Lens Kaleidoscope for Friends, Family & Children

My grandson always carried my metal and cardboard one around our house. We got this for his 4th birthday. He loves it. If he was older I would have gotten the one with the interchangeable ends for more complex designs. Great gift.

Gave this kaleidoscope to my Autistic grandchild who loved the leather case and the scope. She carried it with her all day. The particles used to create the images were elementary yet it was just right for the price.

This is a beautiful presentation of a kaleidoscope and makes a wonderful gift for anyone. The leather container and brass fittings on it make it appear as an artifact found from long ago.

There is a grinding noise when you turn the barrel% you can see the mirror lines- hardly any colors like the one in a previous review- the ones the kids made were much better although not as professional certainly-gorgeous packaging and device-would not buy at any price nor the similar branded ones - was hopeful for a beautiful Christmas gift-also blurry images. my eyes work with the others I have- disappointed.

I think this is a well made product. The leather case is a nice touch. The only disappointment is that the number of plastic bits inside is very small and cuts down on the enjoyment of a really nice piece. BUT I bought a really cheap cardboard kaleidoscope, broke it open and took out its moving bits. Then I screwed open the top part of this one and added some more plastic bits, then screwed it shut. Really nice! Now I will really enjoy using my fancy kaleidoscope as well as looking at it.

The good: The leather case and brass tube are awesome. It functions like other kaleidascopes (sp)The bad: first one was sent and had broken glass falling out. To sellers credit, new one arrived next day. Second one arrived; had a piece of foam in the eye piece. Unscrewed the top, took off the glass lense, and broken glass came out. Its a triangular mirror clanking around in there, with foam chunks (I believe) attempting to prevent it from breaking. This could be an amazing product, just needs a little love on teh design for it to be useable (and not have dozens of glass shards on my desk haha).Good luck! I imagine a non broken one would be great, but after 2 tries I'll try something else!
