These stands are exactly what I wanted, the wood looks gorgeous with the game. The monsters fit in really well and they were easy to put together.Setting up for scenario 4 in Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion.

I bought these for Frosthaven and Gloomhaven.I am the kind of player that has been tracking damage at the base of each monster rather than on the cards and have them get bumped around, so this seemed good since I was looking there for the information already, and a good way to declutter.The good parts:This definitely creates significantly less clutter, unless you are tossing many many debuffs around, since each base only fits two.The wood bases look very nice once assembled, and go well with some wooden player dashboards I had bought from a different seller. Good color, but more on this later.They were very straight forward to assemble, and there were a few spare pieces just in case. No glue needed!The bad:There are a few things I highlighted in my photos, but essentially, the laser cut CAD files are slightly off, and some of the bases are not straight, so some of these pieces chipped/cracked while I was removing them, even with being extra careful.These bases are exactly the size of the hex space, but I wished they had been a little smaller to make it easier to move them around the board. I might take 1/32nd" off each edge, but that will probably be more work than it's worth, and would ruin the finish of the edges.Because of the above, many pieces had a little notch or nib that needed to be sanded off, which isn't normally that big of a deal, and the kit comes with sand paper to do this. However, there are 6 pieces per base, which is over 100 pieces to sand.Because of the above, if you sand too much the pins won't fit and you will need glue, which again isn't a huge deal, but thats a few careful drops of glue for each base.Since this is a small time project/company, the imperfections made some of these bases less than ideal. The standee piece no longer sticks into it's base, so if you are used to picking creatures up by their "head" it will just come off the base instead. This can be modified, so mine will be useable, but an unfortunate flaw in this design.The colors are a little bit too close to each other (more yellowish), and I don't feel the "elite" or lighter colored base is different enough. I am going to give them each a very light wash of watercolor paint to hopefully make them pop more.After these few modifications these will be great, but I suppose having them be great right out of the box would have been preferred.

The media could not be loaded. Full disclosure, I ordered this twice. The first time, a package with only half of the components arrived, but I returned it and got this as a replacement. I am very glad I did not just get a refund.These are excellent quality with precision craftsmanship. There are a lot of reviews that claim you need glue or need to sand the pieces, but DO NOT DO EITHER. These are FRICTION FIT pieces, meaning they won't need glue if you maintain the tight and coarse interactions between the pieces. Sanding the edges of the connector pieces will render then useless. Because they are friction fit, they are NOT EASY to put together. They aren't difficult conceptually, but it will take a little bit of patience and elbow grease. (See video.) Once together, though, they not only stay together brilliantly (I honestly don't think I could get them apart if I wanted to) but they hold the stand-ups and the condition trackers tightly, so you don't have to worry about suddenly having a random poison on the board and not knowing where it came from.These are the exact same size as the game board hexes, so you will have to be careful when you turn the base, or just turn the character to indicate the HP remaining. Which is no problem at all. No more trying to keep track of dozens of damage trackers on the tiny envelope spaces provided. Save that for overflow conditions or whatever else you may want to track.For those of you who actually play Gloomhaven already, you will notice these are not adequate for Bosses (these trackers max out at 18HP) but I prefer to print 3d figures instead of using the pressboard standees for bosses. No matter what, though, these will work for every other enemy you might fight. Keep the stands that come with the game for those inevitable times that you keep having summoned living bones or propagating ooze getting out of control. (We just played a round where we ran out of elite stands. Which is really frustrating, so these are going to be amazing.) 100% recommend for serious Gloomhaven gameplay elevation.TLDR: Well constructed, tightly friction fit (don't use glue or sand pieces down), great for standard and elite enemies in Gloomhaven game, damage counter not high enough for Bosses, highly recommend.

This product is weird to review. On one hand it is a 5 star product. But the description lies. You will absolutely need glue for at least 50% or more of your assembly. This wouldn’t be so bad if the monster holding slots were consistent but they are not. Many are too big or too small forcing you to mix and match dozens of little components on top of gluing. Very poor user experience on top of the listing which lies.Complaints aside with assembly these are superb once setup. Tracks health up to 18 which covers most monsters and difficulty levels. They also feel thematic with the wood and look good on the board.
