Level tile with consistent grout lines made easy
Prior to doing a bathroom remodel with a tile floor and tub surround, I saw someone using the Ridgid anti-lippage system, and was intrigued. After a lot of research, I discovered most pros were using the T-Lock system, and decided to purchase this kit, along with the pliers for setting the wedges. Learning how to use them during installation took a few minutes, then became routine. The kit comes with 300 of the white spacers and 100 red wedges, which is good for small projects, but you’ll need more wedges for a full floor. The wedges are reusable, so once you build up a few hundred of them, you’ll only be buying the spacers for future projects. Alternately, you can do 100 at a time, then reuse the wedges with new spacers on the next section. The result? A nice level, evenly spaced floor that looks professionally installed.I also compared this set with the ones at Lowe’s and Home Depot. This set is MUCH more substantial, and the wedges T-Lock uses are twice the size in all dimensions. Once you start installing, you will see why this is such a big deal. It’s the wedges that interact with the face of the tile, and the larger surface area contacted keep the whole tile in place, not just the very edge. One tip: hold the tile in place by pressing the joint together while tightening the wedge to keep the tile tight to the spacers. It only takes light pressure, but keeps the tile from widening the grout gap by moving in the wet, slippery mortar.Definitely worth the money, and something I’ll be keeping around for future tile jobs. The wedges are also made with marked spacer sizes on the tip, and work well as edge spacers on wall or floor. Very well made and designed set, and I can see why the professionals prefer them.

Worked perfect
I used this product to install 100 sq ft of 12”x24” porcelain floor tile. They worked great for quick leveling of the tile. I found it helpful to cut all the tile and run a “dry fit” first. This leveling system is much faster than the traditional way of using a level and checking all 4 corners of each tile. I was able to cut, dry fit, and install the entire floor in 1 day. Don’t believe the hype about the spacers not breaking off. These complaints are more than likely user error issues. The installation instructions clearly advise to clean off extra thin set from the tile edges before installing the spacers. If you clean the edges, then install the spacers, the spacers break off clean with no hassle. I toe kicked off all the spacers in minutes without any left protruding above the tile. I didn’t use the ratcheting tool. I found it very easy to push the wedges in with my fingers. I would advise to buy extra wedges. I ran out of wedges about 3/4 through the job and had to take a lunch break to allow the already set tile to set up a little, then I stole some already used wedges from the previously installed tiles to complete the job. This is probably not a good technique, but I wanted to finish the job in 1 day. They should put in 150 wedges per 300 spacers if you’re expected to use 2 for every tile edge. Overall great product for leveling tile and saving time. In tile laying time is money, so well worth the expense.

Totally worth the money
This system works awesome I am a intermediate tile setter and this completely changed all of my work. No more tapping and excessive thinset to make everything lineup. This system is completely idiot proof. You can lay tile like a professional. All of my lineups are completely flawless everything is 100% level with in all four sides of the tile. This is a total must for any do-it-yourselfer or handyman. I know tile setters will say bad things about it because now you will infringe on their job. You can now set tile as good as they do.

My Tile would not looks as good with out the T-Lock
I must say this is an outstanding product. I am DIY'er but I would think all levels sould use this product! These are very easy to use and are super strong. The wall tiles in my 4x5 ft shower looks great thanks to these and TileMaster GA videos :) I have used this on every application thus far (shower, floors and back splash) as we removed the tile in all rooms and installed new. I am attaching a few pictures and one of the finished product

Took me a while to get the hang of it
Last time I tiled something - like 35 years ago - I don't believe that anything like this was available. I had some difficulty at first with thinset squeeze out around the legs of the spacers, but as I continued thru the project, I got it figured out. Great results in the end. Unfortunately, in those early in the project areas with the squeeze out, the spacers did not shear off cleanly below the tile surface due to being trapped in the thinset all the way to the tile surface. Because I used 1/8 inch spacers, I was able to use an oscillating tool and a dremel tool with a carbide bit to grind out the squeezed out thinset and the broken off legs of spacers in those areas without chipping the porcelain tile. Made quick work of what would have been a lengthy cleanup process. Now that I know how to use them, I like em!

Does very little to adjust tile height.
These kinda work I guess, not really. If you have proper mortar coverage with large format tile, this do not come close to exerting enough force to lift a tile, it will just deflect the spacer, it will sink a tile deeper in bedding a little, but not worth the cost in my opinion. These will maybe elimanate 1/16 max of lippage in sinking a tile, but will not budge one back up if your bed was thin in a area. Bottom line, very difficult to level with mortar bed, make your subsurface very flat, and maybe just skip these. My job turned out great, but halfway through I just quit even bothering with the leveling feature, only used as spacers. They are excellent spacers though, just not magically when comes to eliminating lippage. Disclosure, only did one tile job in my life, and it looked great, hope to never do it again. Also, make sure to use rubber hammer briskly in removing, this left many stubs of plastics that I had to remove with oscillating tool and grout removal tool, resulting in a few nicks in the tile. You really need to swing fast and hope for a clean pop when breaking them off. Kicking them swiftly with boots on actually worked the best.

Makes a tricky job much easier
The media could not be loaded. Having reviewed many different tile clips, this one seemed to have the best reviews. I am glad I chose them! This was my first true tiling job, a bathroom in 2ft by 1ft limstone tiles 10mm thick. The clips are a massive help and really ensure that you get your tiles level. What you have to watch is getting adhesive where the clip is, try to avoid it getting it in the grout gap, otherwise you will have to chisel out the clip if it gets glued in the grout gap. That is the main disadvantage of the clip system and I did spend a lot of time chiseling out clips that got stuck. I even had to create a very narrow chisel just for the job by grinding down an old wood chisel to about the width of the grout joint. I tended to try and keep adhesive away from the clip points so that when pressing on a tile, adhesive would not squeeze out onto a clip. Wipe adhesive away along the edge of a tile you’ve just put on to stop it squeezing out when you push a clip under the tile. It’s a pain, but ultimately worth it because the clips really do help to keep the tiles on a level. Don’t be scared! If I can do it, so can you!

Works like a charm
So for those of you who are DIYer’s this product is really great for installing seamless tile floor. It is really easy to use and the results are just impressive. The original post got put onto the Tlock system tool by error. On so many shows like Leave it to Brian and Holmes on Holmes we saw this products being used. I like these shows because if you are not in the trades you get to see what innovations are happening in the industry. This was my first try at this product and it did not disappoint. Setting the spacers in was a breeze and then locking them into place with the Wedges was simple. The first few were a learning curve as with any product. I placed the Spacer/Wedges close to each corner section of the tile thus everything was even. It made for one issue though. There is one thing I would highly recommend to anyone using this product. That is to make sure you order more wedges prior to installation. I ordered the starter kit 300 spacers and 100 wedges in one container. I was installing approx. 90sq of tile max and within about 1/3 of the project I ran out of wedges. I actually had to stop and let everything dry so I could take the wedges out and reuse them with the last part of the project.Call it a lesson learned; you can never have too many wedges. When it came to taking spacers out it was as easy as we see on TV. Just kick the spacer’s perpendicular and voila they are gone. All in all I am very satisfied with the product and would easily recommend it to anyone that does tiling. Make your job look like a pro’s.

Expensive, but worth it.
Never tiled before. Initially very sceptical these would work and the price was off putting, but so glad we did. We would never have been able to level up tiles by hand. So glad we made the investment.
