Came with metal deck screws, not the plastic bolts and nuts. I had to spent another 12 dollars at the hardware store to get what i had oarded.

NO, NO, NO! DO NOT BUY!
IMPOSSIBLE to get this to work! The plastic screws are cheap, and it's sooooo hard trying to get the two clamps evenly fitted together. It took me more than two hours before I gave up. If you drill one hole wrong, or unevenly, you're out of the money you spent on the bamboo shield. DO NOT BUY THIS or the bamboo shield. I'm just going to cut out the rhizomes twice a year. It's free to do that, and more simple. I'll use the shield as weed barrier elsewhere.

Good idea to keep joint together
Haven't used it yet. Looks like it will work. Would have preferred that the holes were punched in at least one of the strips for ease of use.
