Great product! Easy to install.
The media could not be loaded. So I bought these blings to add to doors at my 88 year old mom’s house so she could close them at night. They came in about three days. They took about 30-45 min to install. They appear to be of good quality. You can take them off easily to clean. The price was a little high, but better than buying new doors.

Fit perfect!
I was skeptical about this to be honest but it fit perfectly and went on very easily! It's way cheaper than buying a door with the blinds in it already and still looks great!

Great product
I wish I’d known about this option years ago!For my needs this item has worked beautifully. Looks sharp in the window; easy to install; functions as well as a built in blind. It does take up a fair amount of room around the door glass enough that the rose of the door handle butts up against it. But really for the trade off of having the privacy and convenience of the blind it is more than with it.Besides the added privacy I can now take a look outside without disturbing the finches, sparrows, chickadees, and flickers. They no longer can see me in the window. Another big win is that I haven’t had any known bird strikes since the blinds were installed. The blinds prevent the reflection against the glass of the outdoors stopping the birds from flying into the window.Well worth the purchase. Will wait and see how durable they are over time but the cost to replace is much better than dealing with a built in. I would definitely buy this product again.

So far, so good
I bookmarked this after seeing a neighbor's several years ago and I finally made the plunge to order it. It arrived faster than advertised and was well-packaged. Nothing damaged. The included instructions were solid although I also used the video on the site that quickly shows you what to do. It took me about 30 minutes to install and most of the time was spent getting the screw covers off my existing frame. Those were a pain to get out and several of them broke in the process. This has nothing to do with this product but I wanted to share. If I cared enough, I might've bought spare covers to put in place of the older ones but the good news is that the ODL covers them from being visible anyway so it's not really a factor. So far so good. The mount seems pretty solid. The slider to raise and lower the blinds seems to "catch" and require a little effort sometimes to move but gentle pressure (so far) does the trick. Hopefully it doesn't get more difficult over time. The clean look of this unit vs. the external hanging blinds is amazing. Being able to get full visibility out of that window is also great -- the old blinds were mounted open (as it was on a door) so all I could do is close/open them and not raise them up or down. So it's like a new window you can actually see out of now.Another benefit for me is that my old blinds would make an awful noise smacking against the door anytime someone opens/closes that door and that's now gone. :)I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.----edit: fixed a typo----

SOME MINOR ISSUES
SOME MINOR ISSUESWe had cloth panels (white sheer under a solid 'waisted' brown) on the door which helped privacy, but reduced light. The kitchen has a northern exposure (less sun), so the main overhead light was often on during the day.Install instructions provided a clue to finding/removing the plug that covered the screws holding the window frame to the door. I simply tapped the caulk plugs with an awl and pried them out. Only two of the top & bottom corners and lower side screws need to be loosened, not completely removed.Once the included hardware is added to the frame, the screws can be re tightened, re-caulked & painted if desired. White caulk matched my white door, but the frame of the ODL Add-On-Blinds fit over the frame around the window - the screws weren't visible. There were some visible scuffs/dents/holes on my door from the mounting brackets of the previous cloth panels which I filled with caulk (required 3 applications because the caulk shrunk), then painted the entire door face. Had that not been needed, frame installation would have taken about 15 minutes.Mounting the ODL frame can be done by one person, but I'd recommend a helper - one to physically lift/place the frame on the top mounting clips and another to center the bottom of the frame sideways. At 22 lbs, the ODL frame has significant heft, and in my case, it had be to positioned under a lever-style door handle. That reduced my ability to get the frame aligned by myself. With a helper, everything went smoothly.THE GOOD - With the cloth panels gone, there is a lot more outside light coming into the kitchen, so the overhead light is rarely on during daytime. - We have two Standard Schnauzers who liked to look out into the back yard for rabbits. They would push one side of the panel out of position on the curtain rod - and we would reposition it when noticed. Now, during the day, the blinds are fully/partially up or the slats are open - no more readjusting panels, and they have a much better view of the yard - as do we. - With the blinds down and closed, there is more privacy than had with the cloth panels. Nothing can be seen from outside. - Two sliders on the sides - one to raise/lower the blinds, the other to adjust slat angle - work smoothly and require little effort to operate.MINOR ISSUES - The doorknob side of the ODL frame doesn't fit flush against my door face - gap of about .06". I was apparently a bit exuberant tightening the doorknob when mounting it on the door, which depressed the metal door face. Because of the approx. .25" wide slot for the sliders, it's not badly obvious. A thin bead of caulk would fix the problem, but necessitate recaulking if I needed to remove/replace the ODL frame. - Closing or opening the door with any amount of force results in a few/many of the blinds slipping out of the track. Occasionally that can be remedied by moving the blinds up & down to get them back in the place. Sometimes that doesn't work, requiring removing the frame from the door, putting be blinds back in place, and rehanging the frame - an annoyance that I suspect most women won't abide, since the frame requires a bit of effort to mount. - The mounting clips on the lower sides of the frame are thin pieces of unpainted aluminum which are very visible. They're small, perhaps .50" long and only seen when viewed from the side. A touch of paint would help 'disguise' them. I'll get to that when my wife prompts me - again. - There's about .50" of clearance between the ODL frame and my door-handle lever, near the open-end of the lever. Considering there's about 3" of clearance (along the handle) to grip the lever, it's not a problem. - I believe the frame is a bit pricey, with a more reasonable price being around 25% less. But, I've grown accustomed to the convenience of sitting in front of a PC to look for or buy items instead of visiting local brick/mortars. So since I chose to pay the price....To summarize, we like the ODL frame which adds a touch of modernity to our kitchen, admits a lot more light to the room, and eliminates the problem of dogs pushing the previous panels aside, although there's now a lot of wet-nose prints on the glass.Toyman

Love it
Really difficult to install. Did some damage to the paint on my door trying to slide those pieces behind the frame. But after the fact it looks great, creates privacy and there’s no cord hazard for my kid. It looks clean and blends in as if it’s been there the whole time

Best purchase
Went to all home improvement stores and couldn’t get any assistance. Happened to be in Menards and found a brochure for ODL. We called 800 and went online through Amazon and placed our our. Door blind came the next day. Easy install.

Great product, horrible directions
I recommend looking on YouTube for a video on how to install. Printed directions were horrible! BUT this is a great solution to replacing a backdoor with built in blinds.
