Was a proof reader used
Unknown if a proofreader was used with this book but Paul really needs to get oneLike most reviews on the page all comments about the mistakes are true a proof reader should have spotted and sorted themThe storyline is good and the knowledge of London is greatI am going to read Bagleys Lane in the hope that proof reading has been done

Proof reader needed
I have just read the first in this series. The concept and the storyline is great, but it is confusing because at some points it is in the present tense, and then goes into past tense. A good proof reader could sort this out no problem at all. Also the punctuation is not so good - even in the title - The Carter's - the apostrophe should not be there. The author has a great knowledge of London, and with a few tweaks here and there these books could go far. Please please get a proof reader and I will buy them all!

Loved this book
Would have given 5 stars but there was a silly mistake in the book. Billy is badly beaten up and phone taken but gets home and sees he has missed text messages. But picking as this is a truly good read and loved it

Confused
I am really sorry to be negative but ,I really struggled with this book .I tried at least a dozen times, but names being confused( Alf when talking to Tommy) . I just gave up .For me to keep trying there was something good in the story or I wouldn't have gone back.

Cliched gangster story
Rather cliched gangster story. Rival gangs eliminating each other, and son of one gang having a secret affair with daughter of rival gang. I almost gave up halfway through, but persevered to the end. It's not bad, but have read much better.
