Not up to the previous books
I have given this 3 stars but I was disappointed with the book, I think the author should have stopped at book 3 in the series, I did quite enjoy it, but I found there was far more swearing in this book, which is light hearted but towards the end a lot of swearing including the 'F' word on a lot of pages and even the 'C' word, totally, in my opinion unnecessary in this type of book, Rosa may have been originally from the East End of London but I am sure Eastenders are not that prone to swearing as Rosa was, other than that not too bad a book but if there are more in the series I will not bother

A wonderful series!
'Christmas in Cockleberry Bay' by Nicola MayGenre: Romance and Domestic fiction.About The Novel: Rosa and Josh are living in their new home and they have become parents. Yet, Josh has another opportunity to work abroad to support them for the future. Rosa is left on her own to look after their little boy, keep an eye on their joint business and to an organise a Christmas event for her local charity. On top of all this, her estranged father has moved to the Bay, her mother is experiencing memory difficulties, her home is broken in to and more. Will she be able to cope with everything especially at this festive time?My Review: This story is full of page turning twists and turns. The novel is full of laughter, love and friendship.I could picture the gorgeous British seaside settings and the festive season. The original main characters are still 3 dimensional and likeable. I especially like Mary with her spiritual personality and the adorable 'Hot'. The new antagonist is brilliant, because I can see why she behaved poorly. The balance of show and tell is great and there is mostly no over description. The ending is lovely, such a beautiful way to bring a conclusion to the novel series.I feel there were parts that did not need to be there. Possibly a bit too much going on. I did prefer the first 3 novels in this series. If I did not read the previous novels, I would have stopped reading because this story is so heavy on mothers and babies especially in the beginning (No offence to mothers and babies). I stay away from novels that are heavy on parenting due to my own circumstances. However, I feel I am more aware of challenges that mother's and father's face.Triggers - Brief sexual scenes.I genuinely enjoyed the Cockleberry Series. The series is brilliantly written. I highly recommend these novels to anyone who enjoys similar genres.Disclaimer: My Book Reviews are based on my own opinions and experiences only.

Yet another fabulous book from Nicola
I started Christmas in Cockleberry Bay yesterday and finished it just now.I've thoroughly enjoyed the whole series set in this Bay, wish I could live there.A good book to me is one where I'm swept up and feel like I'm invisible and part of the action, Nicola's books just do that and more.I loved all the characters and the relationships between them. I could imagine being in the cafe, the corner shop and the pub, it's so realistic.Nicola please return to Cockleberry Bay in the future, there are still some more tales to be told there.Totally gutted I've finished this book but it was so good I couldn't put it down.

A must read!
Nicola May has only gone and done it again!!Just when we thought it was happily ever after for the folk in Cockleberry Bay, this gem of a read comes along with a little more spice, drama and laughs! The Cockleberry Bay book series is one of my favourites, and this addition slots into the series seamlessly, introducing some fantastic new characters, and new twists of fates for our favourites.I highly recommend picking up this series - and keeping an eye on Nicola. Can’t wait to see what comes next!!

Disappointed....
Have read previous sagas and have enjoyed them, this one spoilt with several unnecessary graphic sexual relationships. I am not a prude, this book was so disappointing, these included to impress readers? join in with current theme of writers desperate for certain ‘type’ of reader? Not necessary with gift author already has, just didn’t work!

A perfect end to a perfect series. So glad I read them all
Just finished this book today and I couldn’t stop smiling. Such an amazing ending to an amazing series - I will definitely be re-reading once I’ve read some more of your books too. I love the character progression of Rosa, especially as I’m very much like her in the beginning and just starting my journey. To see her go from her beginning to her very happy end was so heartwarming and has been a pleasure to read! The last couple of chapters had me in stitches and was just a perfect end to a perfect series.

I've just finished this book and it was absolutely fantastic.I've read the whole series of books now and each one gets better. It's a funny, lighthearted, romantic book which gives you the feel good factor. You can really relate to the characters who leave you wanting more.If I could rate higher than 5* I would.I can't wait for next book.Love the author.

I am going to miss all the characters in Cockleberry Bay, now I have finished the last book. Please write another follow up!!! ....The way Nicola writes her stories is a way that brings the likes Rosa, Mary,Tina and all the others characters to life, it made me feel that every time I put the book down, I could not wait to get back to the story to see what they were all getting up too , that's how interesting Nicola keeps her characters, excellent writer, I'm now going to read through all her books she has published...Thank you Nicola.
