**Q: What kind of water do you dissolve this in? Does it have to be distilled or can I use tap water?**
A: read up on the brain killing amoeba. use quality distilled or purified (or boiled) water only,  like the other answer says DON'T use plain tap water.

**Q: Can you use alkaline water?**
A: We use Acidic water (5.0) and have for a couple of years. We noticed no sting and better results since we switched to the 5.0 water.

**Q: Is this only salt or does it have bicarbonate of soda as well?**
A: The bag states it is 99.99% salt (sodium chloride).

**Q: Is this salt finely ground or is it like regular salt granules?**
A: It's pretty fine it dissolves quickly
