Dynamite LiPo Glow Driver w/Batt & USB Charger DYNE0201 Glow Plugs

Originally I ordered the non LiPo version DYN1922 however, although the manufacturers description says the charger light goes out when it's fully charged this is not the case. I left it charging all day and it didn't go out. Given the capacity of the battery and the output of the charger it should reach full charge in about 10 hours. The charger did fully charge the battery based on the voltage but you don't know because the charger light does not go out.I initially thought this was a fault and I returned it and ordered another only to discover that the replacement has exactly the same behaviour.This may have been acceptable when the product was designed but in today's age of smart chargers I expect the charger to switch off, or at least switch to maintenance changing, once the battery is fully charged.I returned both items and instead bought this LiPo version. I went for the USB charging version which gives me greater flexibility for where it can be charged. I am pleased to report that with this model the charger light does go out when it's fully charged and the charger switches off.

I have limp along with NiMh battery drivers and they just weren't powerfull enough. This Lipo powered driver has made engine starting much easier. The Lipos stay charged and are regulated so you always get a full 1.5 volts.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great glow igniter. Lasts much longer than the old style ones and holds on to the glow plug tight. No complaints!

I have only charged it once and has started my truck over 100 times so far.

I like that it has a green or red LED letting you know when it’s properly attached to the glow plug. I have yet to test and see if this would diag a bad glow plug if it won’t light up or just light red.So far the charger has been accurate. Shows red when charging and turns off when full. Used it twice now to full charge it.Over all it attaches nice to the glow plug and doesn't come flying off.On the expensive side but if it last for multiple sessions and beyond I’d say it’s worth it.

This unit is far superior to the units I have had in the past. I use to pre-energize glow plugs on my model airplanes to start themotors.

Recently I needed to (for the thousandth time) replace the battery in my typical glow drivers (x2). I ran across the ad for this driver and thought I'd give it a shot... Pros: Works great, strong glow plug starts. USB charging cord allows me to top off the charge in my truck on the way to the airfield. I can otherwise charge it using my Li-Po battery charger. Cons: Li-Po battery is sealed inside the unit so once the battery is done, you can't replace it. I've used it at the field now 6 or 7 trips - All day each day. Have only charged it once and it still has about a 60% charge (3.78v being the safe minimum). I highly recommend this glow driver based on it's performance and convenience. Dynamite Job Dynamite!!

This thing is awesome. It's a few more bucks than the nimh or battery filled ones. But it's worth every penny. My engines start fast with less cranking. It'll start them all day too. Very happy with this.
