Swings way above its weight class!
Did tons of research looking for my first full-face helmet and ended up going with this LS2 Assault. Best combination of safety, price, style, and features out there. Includes all of my must-have's such as active chin and top vents (in other words, vents that you can open & close unlike a lot of the Simpson's,) retractable sun shade to eliminate the need for glasses when combined with the included clear visor, a pinlock ready visor, light weight, quick detach chin strap, and DOT & ECE approved. In addition to all that, it actually includes the pinlock shield! Plus, it has a unique KPA shell that is comprised of polymer mixed with aramid fibers which makes it both lightweight, flexible, and strong with penetration resistance too. Looks-wise to me it has that streetfighter style with the large flat chin and the aggressive brow vent lines similar in looks to the Simpson Outlaw & Speed Bandits. Lots of shell paint options including some wild graphics. I chose the Petra matte black/gray/graphite pattern, which just looks badazz and is different than all the plain matte blacks you see out there. This thing just oozes quality. My head is just over 60cm, which puts me just a hair over the Large size on the size chart. I'm glad I went with the XL because this thing fits my head perfectly. Yes, the cheekpads are very tight, but will loosen up after wearing it on a few rides. I am told that you definitely want to start out with tight cheek pads because they will conform to your face for a proper fit. So honestly I do not see what more you will get on a helmet costing hundreds more (Shoei, Arai, Schuberth, etc.,) because this LS2 has it all. And yes, it has the wrap around neck curtain and the flexible chin curtain, so it is about as quiet as a helmet can be with that nice seal. Lots of full-face helmet users complain about noise levels, which is just funny to me. You don't know noise unless you come from my world of no-helmet or half-helmet usage. I have found this LS2 to be a lot quieter. Anyway, good luck with your decision...

Wicked-Awesome Helmet
I love love love this helmet. It's pretty versatile with the drop-down inner lens (I did flipflop and put a dark outer lens with a light inner lens and they both rock). The helmet is pretty good quality and fits great. It's really comfortable.

Incredible helmet for a very reasonable price! Built in sunshade and includes antifog film.
This is my second LS2 helmet, the first one lasted 2 years and I got this one just to be safe as my motorcycle instructor explained that the padding in helmets that saves your brain in a collision is like styrofoam and breaks down over time/gets micro-fractures each time the helmet is dropped. What I love is the styling, built-in sunshade (not antifog, so treat it with some antifog lens cleaner), really great visor - keep it clean and the view is fantastic. Also, the option to open or close the face/top vent is really helpful. It also comes with an antifog Pinlock film custom fit for the visor (saving you $40). Complaints specific to this model: The view if I'm in a super aggressive riding stance during high wind, his speed, or rain is more for upright stance, so when I lean down it is necessary to crane my neck up just a little more than I would like to. This is fine as my bike is an adventure touring bike and I seldom ride that way, but I wish there was an inch more upward view. Could be the fit on my head too, not sure. It's also not the quietest helmet, but riding motorcycles rarely is a quiet activity. In summary, I love LS2 helmets and am very impressed with this model. The sunshade and vent levers are easy to access and if needed, I can pop the visor open a crack for really cold rainy days when even Pinlock can't keep the fog off the visor. I feel that it is very well designed and trust it for protecting my head. The visor comes off easily for cleaning and ventilation is good enough to usually keep from fogging, but also not so much that it gets too cold or hot inside.

Awesome design. Good features for the price. And feels nice and safe
I love this helmet! The biggest selling point for me was the design, but honestly, this is a fantastic all around and well-priced helmet. The fit is nice and snug, very secure. I love the feature of it, the flip down visor, and good positioning on the air vents. I did also end up getting an aftermarket outer visor just for the extra tinting, and it also matched the design perfectly. It is also really easy to swap visors, i can just pull over and switch to my fully transparant one once it gets dark. The helmet is nice and lightweight, very good for long rides, even all day use. I like the chin strap since i dont have to fiddle around slipping it through D-rings like some others. It was also able to fit a com system in it pretty easily. Now, couple downsides. The helmet is noisy. Lots of wind noise coming in from the air vents and even some under the chin skirt, but thats the price you oay for good air flow. It isn't unbearable, and after i installed my com system, it did a decent job of diminishing some more of the noise. The visor only has two spots that it locks in place: completely open, and completely closed. No option to vent it slightly for more air flow, although i did find a way to balance it so it can, just a little inconvenient. Overall, i really love this helmet, and i still highly recommended it.

Affordable style
I recently purchased this helmet, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. One of the standout features is its affordability, making it a fantastic option for those looking for quality without breaking the bank. Despite the budget-friendly price, the build quality is exceptional. The materials feel sturdy and durable, offering a sense of security and reliability. The helmet fits comfortably and provides excellent protection, meeting all the safety standards I was looking for. Overall, it’s a great investment for anyone in need of a dependable helmet at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Great purchase for the price
I love the helmet, Ece certified makes me feel safe, drop down visor definitely helps for Sunny sunrises, sun blazing afternoons and shine bright sunsets. I ride daily and daily this helmet helps especially with the quick release, no struggle just pull and release it’s even easy with my gloves on. The vents give a lot of air so the face shield doesn’t fog up a lot and when it does it clears quickly. Great purchase for a great price, LS2 assault has a great build and great design with a great shape. Also super comfortable and a lot of padding with area for speakers if getting a cardo. Only thing I can say I do not like is the forehead padding has a default in stitching which leaves a line on your forehead but you don’t feel it you’ll see it tho, either way doesn’t matter to me because I always wear a motorcycle mask under my helmets. Thank you LS2 you guys did great!

Updated August 2021, Fits well and comfortable to wear.
Update: I now have about 5000 miles in this helmet. I still think there is a lot of wind noise, but that is highly dependent on riding position. If your tucked with your head down, the helmet is much quieter. Sitting upright you get a lot of wind chamber noise in the helmet. That said, the wind noise is only an issue over 40mph, below that most ambient noise is louder. The top vent works very well when you ride tucked with your head down. Head up, and it's not really doing much. The helmet still fits very well and is comfortable and snug. Riding with glasses is comfortable. I took the breath guard out because it caused my glasses to fog in cool or cold weather. The easily removable part of the helmet liner is matching washable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First, let me say I have only been riding with this helmet about 200 miles. Fit: I think it fits well and is comfortable to wear. I wear glasses, and both pairs fit just fine. The helmet does a good job of holding the glasses in place without pressing too hard. I'm sure the helmet padding will break in more and, most likely, get even more comfortable. Noise: I do think there is a lot of noise coming through this helmet; in both bad and good ways. With the visor open, it's not bad, but close the visor and you get a chamber of wind noise. I have always had both vents on the helmet open, and that might make a difference so I will have to test it with the vents closed. On the plus side, I get to hear everything around me. I can hear the stock exhaust on my fairly quite Honda. I can hear sirens, horns, and even loud tires on some cars. The high fidelity ear plugs designed to attenuate, but not degrade sound. They work fairly well, but the wind noise is still more than I would prefer. Still. I like the helmet and do not plan on purchasing another until necessary

Mala calidad
